I saw this thread a week or so ago and went out and bought the book. It was a good read and the sections dealing with Costa Rica in general and Sportsmens Lodge in particular, were filled with accurate detail. There was no mention of P4P whatsoever.
The SL is described as being "owned by an American and is a hangout for weekenders flying in from the states".
"The guests seem to be mostly Americans in casual dress, shorts and cutoffs, jeans and T-shirts, with a few locals mixed in, Ticos and Ticas, sitting at tables in the patio. There is a louder crowd inside in a more formal bar area, watching the games and downing drinks", it continues.
I'm sure the author spent some time at the SL and it wouldn't surprise me to find he was a CRTer as well. Good job!!
