1. Go to Hereidia
2. The street that Hotel America is on
3. This street has everything you need to meet Ticas. Panaderia, Chinese Restaurant. A regular restaurant. The Fiesta Casino, An Opticion, a Farmacia, jewelery store, an arcade, a pool hall with about 10 tables and just around the corner a ice cream shop.
4. The little shops and botiques open a 9 am.
5. The first thing they do is pull up the metal widow covers and then they always wash the outside of the windows. Everyone i saw was a beauty.
6. There is a park just to your right across the intersection.
7. A Catholic church 1/2 block away.
8. Hereidia has the National College and i saw many of them on the street as well.
9. Women of all ages.
10. There are several hotels around besides Hotel America.
11. A parking garage as well.
12 Hereidia is loaded with fast food joints as well and they deliver.
If you can't meet and hook up with a non p4p Tica here then you should just go home. Don't eXcpect to just walk right up and score.

They have all those things in San Jose, why the need to go to Heredia?


Meet... yes, hookup (for a typical gringo)...not that easy.

You need to speak Spanish and be in town for more than a weekend.

All in all Heredia has more good looking women per square block then any city, in Costa Rica, that I have been. While YMMV everyone I know who has spent sometime there agrees.

Al i ever here told about finding non p4p ticas is go to the mall or a certain restaurant etc in SJ. In Sj this always needs a taxi etc. In Hereidia you don't need a taxi, there is an ice cream palor right across from a park. The restaurants on this street have many corporate tica customers. You can meet women at 6 am etc going to the Panaderia and until 8pm. The church is right there so you can see the good church going girls if that's what you desire. You don't need a vehicle at all. The pool hall could be a ice breaking date that is safe for a Tica . You won't see all the Tica college girls anywhere but in Hereidia. All in all this is one great street to meet up with the ladies. Hotel America is cheap to stay at and the location on this street is fantastic.Plus there are other good priced hotels very close by. Hell at Hotel America you can get a room with 5 double beds for $68.00 per day.
Sure the nasayers can pick apart what i have just posted; but i challenge you to show us another location with all of this in a one block area.
As said before. You are going to hit a home run in one day. Hang around this area and unless you are an idiot you will meet up with some very nice women. To me Hereidia doesn't feel at all like SJ.More laid back. Every girl i saw running those shops is there from 9am to 8 pm.

I think when speaking of non-p4p girls you should just let it happen. I think "seeking" the nons could put unecessary pressure on you not to mention waste time.

But if after a session you find yourself in the mall or wherever and see a cutie who's down, then go from there. The less pressure a non feels of hooking up with you the more intrigued she may become..

I agree with you totally Sir. If you are gonna build a big ship then you need to go where the water is deep.

Hang around long enough in one area then you are gonna meet some of them. There are plenty of them on this street. Thus it can happen naturally.

I liked heredia and other outlying areas a lot and wish to go back and try for the elusive non-P4P. beauiful town and chicas. Me gusta muy mucho.

My take on the whole thing is it really doesn’t matter where you meet the non-pro as long as it is not near the gulch as regular Ticas don’t like that place too much(go figure). Now, my experience meeting regular Ticas took place a long time ago, so according to some prolific posters at CRT, it really doesn’t count, so I will use my most recent experience in Guatemala to illustrate what to do. I met a thirty-something Guatemalteca in the lobby of the Marriott, chatted her up a bit and took her to dinner the following night. We ended up dating for a couple of trips and we spent a week together over Thanksgiving. She was a college educated manager in the HR field and had potential, but pulled a couple of moves that lead me not to trust her, so I decided not to see her after that. Anyway, the strategy I employed was as follows:
1. Speak Spanish; even if it is broken, as long as you are not embarrassed speaking it, you can get by. But the better you speak it the better off you are. I speak pretty well for a Gringo, but would have to live in a Spanish speaking country for a while before I would consider myself to be fluent.
2. However, the better looking you are, the less this will be an issue as if you are Mantastic in the U.S. chances are you will be that as well in Costa Rica. But, that having been said, the U.S. is probably the most superficial countries in the world and other countries don’t seem to be as hung up on being GQ material as your average crop of Gringas tend to be.
3. Be young to get the best of the kittens, but there are older Ticas that have been around the track a time or two that won’t mind hooking up with a Gringo.
4. Get out of the gulch and hang out where the regular chicks hang out, malls, regular clubs. I would avoid El Pueblo as I hear it has become a gang and hooker hang out as well.
5. Pubs/ by the college in San Pedro or some of the other suburbs are good places to looks as well as near the embassy, Escazu and Heredia. Some of the better hotel nightclubs might also be a good target rich environment.
6. Treat the women as good or better than you would treat or average Gringa and it will pay dividends.
7. Never admit to knowing anything about mongering, the gulch or any associated activities. Be there on business.

There is a problem with the working Ticas. They work such long hours; how can they find time to get to know a guy? College students have the time.
As i said in a previous post, i have seen the girls open up the shops at 9 am and close them at 8 pm. Not much time for anyone unless you can get them to lunch.

Here is the $64,000 dollar answer. I have had three non p4p dates in CR and many other encounters that I did not pursue. This is what happened to me on this last trip with a non p4p encounter.

I always like to be the last person to board the plane. As I was boarding at the SJO airport, I was pulled to check my backpack and some duty free items I have bought. As the cutie check my backpack, she notices some of my slim jims and I had to explain to her about dry meats and the use of a quick hold you over for the next meal. So I try to offer her one as a gift but she tell me that she cannot take it and is forbidden for them to accept anything. After that she has me if I was a Tico, which my reply was “No, but I’m hoping to marry a Tica”. After that she was like asking me, “how often you come to CR” and when my reply was every 2-3 months. Her answer was “call me”. After that I did not continue the pursue.

IMHO – Non P4P pursue is just too much work for the same assets on the shelf. My ego does not need it nor want it. It is just me. So I will leave the Non P4p for you dreamers and maybe if I decide one day to move to CR, I will pursue it.
