I have had Master card denied but never visa.I haver a visa debit card from my local bank and usually bring a visa credit card in case.I used to do the travelers checks but not worth the hassel.Since I go with budget places almost have to go to bank to cash and just not worth effort.rbc100

Visa much more widely accepted in the past but unusual to have MC denied anymore. Visa still the best however if you have both.
