When making my reservation, I usually pick a seat in the rear on the aisle so I can be near the restroom. Delta changed my seat and placed me at a window in the middle of a group of pre teen and early teen skateboarders, who did not know how to behave. I did not realize they changed seat number until I boarded. Next time, if there is any, I will protest and raise hell.

I guess I could have ordered a couple of whiskeys, drank them with glee, and told them off with colorful language, "accidently" spilling some booze on my seat neighbors.

Any other suggestions?

You are a gentleman. I am careful how I handle these situation because if they escalate I want to pull a Rambo on someone.

I guess the plane was full or at least the other seats you could have moved to were occupied.

I have had a lady put her Ch*ld ON TOP of the tray table connected to the back of my seat before and let "it" use the tray table as a trampoline. I've had foreigners banging the back of my seat with their feet over and over. It's hard to be diplomatic in these situations.

1-a. Fly enough to get medallion status so you may get an upgrade.

1. Pay the big bucks for first class .

2. Ask at the gate if you can pay to upgrade to first class for $150 or so.

3. Ask before the flight for bulkhead seats in front of the plane. There is usually a restroom there too. Nice to be closer to the front in SJO to get to immigration faster.

4. Talk to the flight attendant, maybe she can help .

5. Ask the teens if you can sit on the aisle.

6. Pull a "Rambo" and get put on that "special list".

Complain to Delta customer service and of course over exaggerate your negative experience and maybe, just maybe you can get a free ticket voucher.

I know I can be an animal but I'm not above sticking my fingers down my throat and puking all over them--and that includes the "Trampoline K*D". Or at least obviously threatening to do so.

I find this type of behavior ridiculous for an adult. Especially the parent whose K*D is using the tray table as trampoline. I would have flipped out. so what did you end up doing?

This one was a long time ago but the lady behind me had not paid for a seat for the baby so "it" was in her lap. At first the lady told me this was "her area" . After the flight attendant told her to try not to disturb other passengers, it continued. I believe I suffered through it on a flight from San Francisco to Atlanta that all I wanted to do was take a nap.

You are definitely a gentleman only complaining to the flight attendant. I dont know why this kind of story really gets to me. Maybe its cuz i've had numerous encounters with annoying Babi*s on the plane.

One time I was flying from NYC to LAX with my girlfriend at the time, there was this baby that kept crying/screaming non stop after takeoff..it was about 30 min into the flight and the baby is still going at it the mother doesnt even care cuz we can hear her continue talking to her friend, so my gf got up and turned around and screamed at the parent "IF YOU DONT SHUT THAT phucking K*D UP I WILL"

Don't waste one red cent of your money (ie spilling booze). I traveled for 6 years every week usually 2 - 3 cities so I saw it all. A good payback, shoes off and then the socks, and start rubbing your feet and cracking the toes, then start touching everything around the seats especially the armrest which will become all yours (ala John Candy from the movie "Planes, Trains and Automobiles - great flick).

I feel you. You think most people only travel once or twice a year and want to enjoy each aspect of it. Traveling can be a final time of quiet enjoyment without cellphones and pagers going off. Maybe a couple wants to enjoy some beverages viewing out the window. And "it" is screaming while the mom chats.

You want to talk crying Babi*s, I can top most crying baby stories.Korean Air flight from LAX to Seoul.One little bastard located conveniently in the center of coach for all to hear, cried and hollered in about 20 min. intervals for the entire 13 hr. flight.After that experience, nothing seems so bad.

sometimes it is beyond the K*ds control....took my now 12 year old to FLA 11 years ago...cried the whole time...very unlike him....comes to find out he had a double ear infection, so the cabin pressure really killed him

I usually don’t like sitting next to the shitter……. Never fails someone feels the need to take a dump on the plane and my eyes then burn for the flights duration.

In most cases, I really dont blame the Babi*s as long as the parent they are with are doing everything possible to calm them down or just do something to keep them from constantly crying/screaming. I understand its not the Babi*s fault.

The ones i can't stand are the parents that have total disregard for others in the same cabin. Those parents that continue chatting or watch movies while their Babi*s are out of control.
