According to this NYTimes article, the TSA are being increasingly sticklers about the name on your airline ticket exactly matching the name on your passport, most especially your middle name/ initial:

As you can well believe this being a New York newspaper, there were a ton of, um, sprightly comments, mostly of the "This is idiocy" variety.

This is a constant problem for me...

I have always used a different name than what was on my birth certificate...and now its a hassle

What i had to do to change my Continental one pass name you wouldnt believe

JetBlue will not let me book online with my ff # in my birth name because i am registered differently

fucken 9-11 scumbags...just a note of thanks... you dogs!! :evil: :evil:
