Well, I know I am still 10 phucking WEEKS away from this trip! Can't wait.

A sincere thanks to all the contributors to this board. I really appreciate all the information, since it will be my first trip to CR. I have been to Panama and Mexico, but I doubt that I have witnessed anything like el HDR! I'm staying at the SL.

What I have learned: Don't pay cien. :) Buy a bottle of diacort. :D Take cabs at night. Learn Spanish.(I'm taking a course, y se poquito). Keep the safe locked, and tica-proof the room! Don't be an obnoxious tourist.(I can't fool anybody into thinking I'm a tico, since I'm pasty white, but I'll be as low-key as possible; no bathing suit, wifebeater and gold chains.). Photocopy the passport. I really appreciate this bit of advice.

What I know: Chicas(as well as gringas) are generally a little wacky, and each one is different! :P I can't wait to sample! 8)

I am going whitewater rafting for a couple days near the end of the trip, and want to see Isla Tortuga early in the week, and want to take a day trip in mid-week to either Manuel Antonio or the waterfalls and volcano. I'm back for Halloween night and can't wait to see a few chicas in their birthday suits! :) No dressing up for me though because "I'M A MAN, I'M FOURTY!(pounds the table for emphasis ala that college football coach.)

I'll be the guy cheering for the Seahawks in the SL Sunday afternoon! If that doesn't overwhelm you with pity and want to buy me a beer, I don't know what will! Thanks again for all the information on this board.
