Perhaps One of the board members living in San Jose can help me. I told my favorite chica that I would bring her a birthday present this trip. She said she would like a dvd player. I though fine I can pick-up a good one in the states for 50 or 60 bucks but now I am wondering if I should save the hassle and just buy it in San Jose then I know it will work properly language ,connections ect. but I don't know about price and availiblity.

Every trip, I stop by K-mart or WalMart and pick up a cheap DVD player. I usually get the smallest one they have so it will fit in my bag. You can get one for under $30. I always leave it behind for my best lay. Nice propina. I have yet to find a babe not thrilled to get it. Of course the best chica is always the last one!!!

I bought one there once, and it cost me about $70 bucks for the same one.

Just to clear up any confusion the auropista from the airport General Canas does not pass pricemart it goes from Alajuela to San Jose passing the airport. The autopista from Santa Ana to San Jose Prospera Fernandez passes by pricemart.
Buy a multi zone DVD is the US, buying it here will double what you pay.

I would follow Astro's advice, buy it in US, I bought one at Wallmart for $40, small, it fit on my carry on bag and works just fine, Besides, avoid the hassle of going to Pricesmart and having to pay to become a member.....

My two colones
