Let me join the chorus and give Admin1 kudos for a well stated message. With so much going on, it is important we be reminded of the purpose of this site. While I don't think I am necessarily one of the members referenced, I know I have been a bit testy at times, and will work to make sure my posts stay within these guidelines.

Thanks Admin1 for a super site, and all your hard work and efforts on behalf of all travellers like myself. You can't be thanked enough. I look forward to putting all this good advice and all the shared info of the generous members to use in my first trip next week, as well as meeting lots of you.

Thanks Admin 1.
For the past 6 months or so I kinda dropped off the board just for being flamed for no reason by someone active on the board that does not know me for a reason still a mystery to me. Rather than spar over nothing I just kinda went away.
Thanks again for addressing this. Hope the flamers are self aware enough to see the reality.

I don't think Admin gets enough thanks for the work he does.

This site is by far the best web site of its kind.

The info I got from CRT was worth about 10 lifetimes of searching myself, risking everything, taking chances, etc.

So keep the flames down, the attitude up, and keep searching the planet for the hottest girls and coldest beer!

A word of thanks for this website. On tips on just about everything. I do not post much but have been to costa rica about 20 times since December 9 2007. That was my first trip. I also plan to buy a house there. All info required was on this site. This site is well worth the money to anyone planning to visit CR for any reason. :D

GREAT POST, ADMIN!

I have been thinking the same thing lately about the hijacked threads. It has been way too much and hopefully your message will help clear it up. It is really annoying when a thread with good info. gets hijacked by a couple guys going off tangent on some argument they're having.

PURA VIDA!

Its funny, Paco, after reading this post I quickly realized that it and this thread could just as easily apply to me (actually I realized it when this thread first appeared but was too ashamed to admit it) as it could to another certain member who responded to your post by first mocking it and then followed that post with another that mocked me while at the same time claiming to abide by these State of the Union policies  . Anyway, I hope he really does and also lightens up a little and if so, I'll pledge to do the same (not to beat another dead horse, but I think I had already made my point anyway). Its never easy for any of us to change our basic tendencies, but whereever other people are negatively effected we should always at least try.

Speaking only for myself, I'm ready to admit right here and now that it is not easy for me to ignore what I consider to be the idiocies and/or nastiness of others. However, I also realize that by failing to do so, I subject everyone else to the ongoing carnage (after all, it takes 2 to tango). That makes ME one of the parties who is often plain wrong and at fault. There, I finally said it, and it didn't even hurt so bad.

I hereby pledge to do my very best from this point forward to follow these CRT State of the Union Policies (and ask my CRT brothers for their forgiveness for any of my past transgressions).

Seems a little bump is in order for those who have forgotten this is a board of gentlemen exchaing ideas even if they do not particularly agree with yours.

Let us not forget what we are here for instead of thinking you are the Know it all to CRT!

That goes for all, nobody in particular, but its about time some of you step back and read what you write before YOU POST IT! You will be shocked how really out of hand some of your posts are.

Thank you.
