As stated earlier, from time to time I will get PM's concerning staying at DR since I'm usually one to try and deter guys from staying there.

Now, my reasons extend beyond it being a shitty hotel. Forget room quality, chica fees, and so on. Those things guys will be able to see for themselves..

My #1 reason for advocating against staying at the DR is because I feel it makes you more of a mark or target.

It's so "gringo cliche'" to stay at the DR and the chicas eat it up because;

1. one hour WILL mean 1 hour so she can go downstairs and get back to talking to her friends.
2. All the world see's you and your chica heading upstairs. Why I frown upon this is because I feel it gives you less bargaining power.
3. Being surronded by the DR 24/7 I feel gets guys in line to conform to the "rules" of the chicas.

Beyond that I feel its extra silly to stay there as a newbie. Not knowing what to expect in a pool of sharks likely will get you burned..

Note that this is only my opinion but I wanted to put it out there. Personally I like DR, but just to shop for girls and plant seeds. Oh yea, the cappuccino isn't too bad either..
