FYI, i'm early thirties and pretty much have my pick of the American bitches, so save the "you must be a fat gringo" schtick for some other schmuck.

That said, the girls were out of shape, most of their pussies stunk like red lobster, and some of them phucked like a donkey with three broken legs and a stump....uncoordinated, unenthusastic, and not worth a return trip. It sux your experiences were like that, I can't say my outlook on the chicas are the same. Firstly any kind of foul smell that comes from a chica I'm with is an automatic deal breaker.

I agree with Paco, I guess if my experiences were like yours I'd feel the same way.

Note that this is only my opinion but I wanted to put it out there. Personally I like DR, but just to shop for girls and plant seeds. Oh yea,

ok I here what you are saying and my first 2 trips I stayed there and I will never forget it, I look at like going fishing you go where the fish are right, you just need to learn how to use the bate so you catch what you want so read read read and learn..

I hear what Cujo is saying I certainly see his points. But the first time I went to SJO I arrived around a tad before midnight on Friday and flew out Saturday night late. Spirit Air. Had a room at The HDR. There were four of us, three rooms. I would not have had enjoyed myself nearly as much if the HDR had not been our accomodations. To walk in to the HDR, as my welcome to Costa Rica, and check in with all the action around was very cool. It was also cool to be able to gamble, go to the bar, off to the room, back to tables to BS with my boys, repeat. I think one of us may have went to the room to sleep before 7 a.m. By far one of the best, and most intense, vacations I have ever had.
Would I want to stay there now, not necessarily. But I suspect I will be down in January and, if a couple newbie pals who are partiers join me, I do not see how I select anywhere else for a two night jaunt.
Depends on what kind of experience you seek, I suppose.

Interesting how people can walk into the same place and leave with completely different impressions. I've always said that anyone can find what they're looking for at the DelRey. It may not be there the first time you walk through but it will be there. That's why I like having a room that's only an elevator ride away from what I'm looking for.

HDR is like a garden, there are many different types of flowers. But you have to walk through weeds, and maybe even some poison ivy, before you find a nice flower to pick.

I'm with Phoenix. It's more work, but it's nice to work outside the fishbowl, and the rewards are greater. The DR to me is usually nothing more than a spectator sport over beers now. Still, it's a great spectator sport.
