A number of companies are applying to offer cell service in competition with ICE. None have yet been approved. A major stumbling block, after they get approval, is that ICE has paid for the construction and owns all the cell towers in the country. No one knows if ICE will sell space on those towers to competitors and if they do what the charge will be. The alternative for a new company is they will have to start from scratch which will not only be expensive but very time consuming.

I hope this is true, so ICE can go Phuck themselves.
Not sure what that is about and how ICE has any effect on you. What do you spend a month for basic cell and basic land line service in NYC? My cost in San Jose is $6.35 for cell and my land line basic service is $4.25.
