It is a comfortable place to stay and close to the action.

I stayed there in January. I like it. It has a room safe. Good CRT discount, No Chica fee. Freindly staff. a Resturant on-site. A bar in the back. And best of all. No limit on chica's. Have an Orgy. But think about your neirbors who are probally CRT members.

That outdoor covered bar in the back is a great place to hang in the afternoon, even when or especially when it's raining.

Yea, You got me Tica. The problems is I do think about my neibors during sex. Just not when I am nutting. The older you get the harder it is to be a self centered punk.

Now when I was a teenager. I called them pop just to piss them off.

The Castillo is one of my favorite hotels in SJ - decent rooms, friendly service, great discounts and pricing, very centrally located between the SL 2 blocks in one direction, the NF and HLH 1-3 blocks in the other and the HDR/BM/KL 3 blocks to the south. That said, I thought you guys might get a hoot (or become enraged) about one of the reviews about it from a member on the TripAdvisor website, particularly considering the reaction by guys here when someone recently reposted another review from TA of the Amistad.

I booked a suite room at the Hotel Castillo because I was traveling with my family. A private taxi driver suggested the place. The workers at the hotel were nice and during the daylight the hotel seamed like it was in a decent neighborhood. However the restaurant/bar doubled as a brothel. While they advertised seafood fine cuisine, it was only barely edible. While I was hoping this would be a nice base for my family for touring the region. I found that all of the clients were 50+ men staying there for the purpose of sex tourism. Later I realized the whole neighborhood was quite dangerous to walk outside at night. This is not a family place nor a place I would take a date. However, If you are looking for a different scene perhaps you would enjoy this place.

Liked — Room was nice, too bad it wasn't in a different hotel
Disliked — Sleazy

I like the place and would stay there even if
I couldn't get it up! Tranquilo makes me happy wherever I am! Morning coffee at 0700, and watching the little green parrots fly in and out of the big green tree in the courtyard equals any eco stop in CR. (Well, almost anyway  )

Love those parrots. I have footage of them in the trees in the distance as they lift off every few minutes. They are very interesting.

Like clockwork returning in the afternoon to fight over the soffits of downtown buildings.

I wonder if they have that much fun in the rain forest. They seem to live pretty well in the city. They dont go very far in the morning when they leave.

Just hang in there Azcentral it's gonna happen.

The outside bar is a great feature. Just too bad they don't allow working girls to frequent it. :(

I usually bought the "American Breakfeast" for $4 rather than the buffet since no meat was on the buffet.

My first night there I was awaken at four AM by a blasting TV covering up the moans of room #3's one hour new friend. Other than that it was pretty quite. :P

Will likely stay there again.

Disculpa el ruido Slim.

Excuse me for the noise coming from Room No. 3 Slim.

You must have slept through most of the Room No 3 activities because it went on for several days.

50 not quite 50 yet!
