I have stayed at nearly all the hotels in Jaco except Copacabana-how would you compare to Canciones del Mar or Cocal, for comfort of room, beds, showers, quiet, chicas, price, total experience? Headed there this weekend and want to try something new.

Altho some people like it, I, personally, have had many bad experiences at the Copa, and have refused to stay there for the last 4 years

Way overpriced, especially the one bedroom suites. Outdated decor, lousy beds. The pool is nice and the food is good.

This Thread's consensus pick is Canciones del Mar and here's the Website:

Yes the COPA has a $20 chica fee.

Sometimes depending on their mood they will offer a 50% discount to CRT members on the Chica Fee.

They suck. The owner has not kept the place up. They have a good location. It's close to the beattle bar.

I would try the Cocal hotel and casino, Claritas, or estrellamar.

Call me a fool but it sounds like the Copa is trading on a reputation, and present day, they've lost their mojo. I know Clarita's can be fun and the other 2 mentioned, a better deal.

Same here, but the place could use some work
