I'm at the DR from June 26-July 4. Haven't been there in 9 years -- used to go about 6 times a year. Really looking forward to it.

Independance day in SJ looking forward to it. Do they shoot off fireworks for the gringos? Other than the ones in the rooms.

Been there at this time in past years, but for the life of me, I cannot remember. I do not think so. But I do remember the DR and other places decorated in Red-White-Blue.

I went last year and think they will end up having another, this year.

Pretty good scene, but gets costly with the cost of drinks at the bar. I think the $20 entrance fee covered domestic beer and bbq, but I kinda remember that being short-lived and then the drinks became expensive. But my memory is not so good anymore and I may have been paying for drinks throughout the party. The chicas in attendance were HOT, but WAY above my price range.

I will be there from the 5th to the 13th. Haven't met many on board here, just thru the forum. Looking forward to it. I arrive at 12:30 pm. If you see a trail of smoke and smell burning gym shoe rubber from Amistad to Relax around 1:30 pm, that would be me. Outside of that, no specific plans.
