I visited San Jose for the first time recently based on FRL's
excellent review and easy-to-read, modular breakdown of the
benefits when you go San Jose. I really do enjoy the place.
Hence, my delima.

A few months ago, when living in another city, I booked a flight
to Germany. A connecting flight to catch my original, non-refundable
flight is almost 300$. I'm seriously thinking about tossing that
flight and rebooking to San Jose or somewhere else. I was
going to do Frankfurt and possibly Prague. I've done Amsterdam
before and found it to be boring compared to SJO. If anyone has
done Prague/Frankfurt and can compare it to SJO, I'd appreciate
the help deciding what to do. I only have about 9 days for this trip.

I was really hyped about trying to get away to Thailand with
the disaster. Much to my surprise, flights do not seem to have
gone down any. I also looked at BA or RIO but both destinations
seemed expensive. Colombia is not somewhere I'd be willing
to venture. I had considered Russia, but it sounded more
expensive than SJO and much less safe. I guess I'm screwed
trying to get into Cuba as a US citizen? That's a shame after
reading the excellent reviews. It sounded right down my alley
since I am primarly interested in long-term girls. Anyhow, any
help deciding on destinations from those who can compare SJO
to the others would be greatly appreciated.

Mainman, I've personally done Prague, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Brussels. I have also done the CR thing.

If your trip is for mongering purposes only, CR whoops the living shit out of any of the above mentioned cities in Europe, hands down.

If you are more of a touristy person (see the sights, enjoy the beer, wine, food, etc.), I highly recommend any of those European cities (my favorite being Brussels).
