Typical thought of a smoker. They have not a clue how the smell not only lingers but permeates every piece of cloth, including their clothing, that the smoke comes in contact with.

I smoke but I'm with ID on this. I was a non-smoker for almost nine years. You have no idea how awful the smell of nicotine can be. I mstly remember the stench walking past smoking areas at mall and office building entrances.

With that said thanks for the info on smoking at the Miami airport.

In the Miami Airport, there's a smoking lounge in Terminal D - near gate D-34. There's also an Admiral's Club in that same vicinity.

Not Quite Jazzbo,

Cigar odor lingers, and is more noticeable for the non smoker. About 20 years ago, during a non smoking period for me, I lent my newish car to a good friend, who unbeknownst to me, had taken up stogies. Well, he told me he'd smoked in my car, but with the window down and the cigar mostly outside the window. But the moist SoCal air had trapped a lot of the foul smoke inside the car. When I asked my 'buddie' how I would get rid of the smell, he told me "You're going to have to buy a new car!" :D

If your in "D" terminal there was one at gate 34. It was there June 08.

What a touchy subject this days.

Thats only because all of the smokers have to go stand there to have a cigarette. Back before I was a smoker , I remember plenty of people smoking in malls & large office buildings. I never had a problem with the smoke unless it was a small confined area ( like the ones they have herded smokers in at the stadiums).

I.D.... Don't get you ass bent sideways.

My post was in jest. Being a cigar smoker I lend courtesy to taxi cab drivers and anyone who is bothered about second hand smoke. I normally smoke a third of one at curbside and then enter a taxi to my hotel. Sometimes, I don't somke until I am at my desigination.

As for the tip, it depends if they refrain to drive fast, no rapido, nothing to do with smoking, and I have a safe feeling during my trip to the hotel. I concur with you that one should not impose tobacco smoke on others and I do not.

Perhaps I should have not made jest about a subject that infuriates people. It seems to be touchy feelie around here.

Tip to MuleDick. Perhaps when you want to make a funny you might consider using an appropriate emoticon so folks will understand that. As you can see from the responses no one pick up on the fact that the post was in jest.

PS: If you are not sure how to use emoticons PM Florida. :P :P :P :P

I.D.
That is a fair statement and a good tool to use in order to have correct understanding. I shall try but I hate those smiley faces.

Brother JMS--I think that $5 included the $3 entrance fee, but even if it didn't at least the facility was there at all. And, yes, it's called Nimbus, after the cloud type.
