Hey all, gotta noob question... I'm planning a trip in the latter part of April, right at the end of what I can discern as "tourist" season. I was wondering does the seasons have any impact on the "availablity" of ticas? or impact the market pricing of them?

Also, I did try to find the answers to this, but I guess I just didn't try hard enough... What's about the average going rate for "entertainment"?

I was looking for 9+'s for a few hours... and 7+'s for all-nighters... no single hour stuff... and if she's gotta great personality and oozes appeal and willingness... hey that's all I need. Just kinda want to get an idea on what I'll be spending on extracurricular activities while I'm in SJ.

Not to mention, I can't say I know much beyond the BM... Guess that's why I just gotta get up and go there...

Thoughts would be appreciated greatly!

Being at the end of the dry season the numbers should be pretty good. You might check the Massage parlors , bars and clubs to explore various options around town.rbc100

At the BM, it is always the Wet Season....if you get my drift.

I have been there in April and there is no shortage then, my brother. Easter Weekend might be slow, but otherwise, you are good to go. Things will pick up after the first of the year as the chicas return from their holiday break. The ticas are still there, but some of the Dominicanas and Columbianas go home over Christmas.

By april they all should be there. Two hours with a 9+ should cost you NO MORE than cien. If you are any good at negotiating, and have the will power to walk away, you could get her for less. And frankly, you can get a 7+ for an all nighter for less than cien if you look hard enough. I have had them for as low as $60.

Welcome to the board....and beuna suerte, mi amigo. A little advice....brush up on your spanish. Learn the negotiating phrases. It helps a TON. The more you know, they more they blow.

Thanks Astro, I've read some of your posts and very entertaining they are, as well as very well written. Yeah I wasn't planning to go over a cien unless there's a really good reason... propina perhaps... I have enough spanish in my vocab to get by with pidgin speak :) But my buddy who's traveling with is fluent so he's gonna be my wingman/translator etc...

Yeah I agree, the more you know the more they blow, and the money shot comes cheap.

Was looking at the 15th -24th... right before Easter... Figured should be just about right and it's a slow time at work for me. Know anyone who's filled a jacuzzi with ticas? that's on my hitlist... as well as quatro leche to wake up next to...

Thanks for the welcome, I've been lurking for a bit, but wished to be vocal as the time for serious study and research came.

What you hate about the Ticas is also what you love about them. Most of us work save and invest. Save some, spend some. For them...it seems that the truely live for the moment. If they work tonight and make $100. Well, then tomorrow they spend the $100. They may pay the rent, get some food, pay the babysitter, buy some cloths...but then they are broke again and back to the well they come for more "water". For that reason, there always is and always will be a steady supply. Yes, some are true pros, who come every night and I avoid them and Columbians like the plague. But those sweet one who come to the well for , " just a little more water ", those are the ones I like. I truely remember prior to my first trip, how I wanted to plan and make sure my trip was pleasant. Even looked ahead of time for girls to be with. Then I went and it all just happens. The girls are there for you. You look, flirt, tease, negotiate, catagorize and then make your choice. Once in a while you will pick what you think is a hottie , only to be disapointed when she doesn't perform as well as you would like, but be ready, cause you are going to hit more home runs than you can ever imagine. Look for CRT members to guide you. There advice is like gold and all will be glad to help.

Chi, Realman and Glide's advice are on the mark. Don't over-plan your first trip. Just go, do, and enjoy the ride.

From experience, the "10's" are great arm candy, put performance in laCama almost always leaves a lot to be desired. Best overall performers seem to be the 7-8's. Haven't been disappointed yet

As for daily budget. I'll set aside 250USD for food, drink and chicas. Some days it's more, some days less. Found it's been my average over the last six trips.

Ah the sage advice I'm getting... :)

Yeah I figure you're all bang on the money... The only planning I'm really doing is where to stay what to fly, what to wear beyond that it's moment by moment while I'm on vaca...

I was thinking the 10's are photo fodder...the 7-8's are the real carnival rides... I'm sure it'll be a hit-or-miss thing, as first times in everything are... but the best way to swim is to jump in feet first.

250USD for F,D,C eh? Not bad... I'll base my average off of that, thank you for the tip.

Couple more questions for anyone...

What's the tica take on 2-girl shows or participation? Plus... what's their take on digi photos... either normal or au natural... Of course it'd be a personal collection...not for public or anything like that...just something to remind me from time to time of the trip.

You guys ever think of pubishing an encyclopedia? Might pay for a few trips :)

Yes....I know of one. You should read up on my trip report from October when I took my new harem....4 chicas...to hotel Eden for a nice dip in the agua. SuperK was blowing me before I got my dick wet.

Very true mi amigo. I sent SuperK a little Christmas Bonus last week. She got it on Thursday. By Sunday it was gone, and when I called her on Monday she complained of having a car accident and breaking her arm. She needed more dinero for medecina. I was stunned that after I had sent her some Christmas cash she needed more so soon.

So, I ended it. I can't stand the lying....and they ALL lie. It is part of thier nature....just like living for today and never thinking of tomorrow. We love them for this "devil may care" attitude....but it sucks when they can't manage their money and come crying to me for more dough. Although we benefit when it happens in the Blue Marlin, and little miss hottie semi-pro shows up to get some rent money. Just don't try to be their novio.

I may see her again when I return...but this novia thing sucks right now. She was fun while she lasted....but now "Send out the HOUNDS!"

Damn Astroglide. I want to sit and buy you a drink sometime. You hit shit right on the head. THEY ALL F **KING LIE! It's their nature. Even when they don't need to lie they lie. You see this game for what it is. I've told several of the girls before I don't care what they tell me and I won't be mad, just tell me the truth. If you are with another guy and can't see me, tell me that, I'm a big boy and know what they do. Sh*t, I've lost out to the guys who are high rollers with my 10 that I used to hook up with. That's the game. I am a small businessman down here and can't buy the bling bling and spend the money the others do. And I don't pretend that I can when with them. There's a rap tune that has a line that is perfect for this life: " F*ck the game, don't let the game f*ck you.

Astro...

You dumped Special K already?

Can I have her numero? ;)

In all seriousness... How are these girls really any different than the Gringa? They lie and they view us as a meal ticket. Sounds a lot like my ex- wife.

Astro...I know I am asking for a lot on my plate but...can I have SuperK's numero also. If you are dumping her this soon..someone should help her with the loss and also check that her arm is set properly. Actually...I think Astro may be thinking that gettin bopped over the head with a plaster cast will hurt worse than gettin smacked with a water bottle.

I have been all over Central America for many years and wondered about this. It is not just Tica's it's part of the culture. As example: Some years ago the US turned over the Panama Canal to Panama. This was done in incremantal stages. One of the first things that was turned over was the railroad between Panama City and Colon. For decades, under US control, this railroad ran without a problem. Within five years of being turned over to the Panamanians it was inoperable due to disrepair. It is fairly typical in Central America that routine maintenence is not much of a priority.

After discussing this with others I came up with what I think is an answer. Those who live in a temprate climate evolve in a culture that must make use of oppertunities when they present themselves. For example, crops must be grown in the growing season and then stored so we can eat in the winter. This is not true in tropical regions. Crops can be grown year around. As a result the cultures that evolve in the more temprate regions have a concept of saving and investing, people that evolve in more tropical regions do not because there has never been a need. It's not something that can be easily learned when it is not part of the culture.

I know this is way off the topic but thought I would through in my two colones worth :)
