First time poster so please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong area.

Traveled to CR last Sept. with 4 friends (clients) where we spent a few nights in San Jose and a couple of days in Jaco (fishing). Man, did we have a great time. Enjoyed very much the time spent at the BM and Key Largo. When friends asked me what the BM was like, I tell them "it felt like I was at Champs Sports Bar......except there were hookers."

I am returning with 8 customers and 2 colleagues from January 19 through the 24th. Plan to spend one night in San Jose and 3 nights in Jaco. 1 day golf and rooster fishing and 2 days fishing offshore.

We have reservations at the Copacabana Hotel which I know is close to the B.B. As we will be in Jaco for 3 nights, are there other suggestions for nightspots other than the Beetle Bar? I’m know we will spend the first night at BB, but am wondering if anyone has recommendation(s) of other places for large group of guys. Also, any recommendations for any good restaurants in Jaco will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Also, thanks to the sponsors of Costa Rica Ticas.com. You guys perform a great service. Also, sending my application for VIP membership today.

Pura Vida

The only 3 viable venues in JACO for girls are the Beatle Bar, Central Disco and downstairs at Pancho Villas after 11PM.

Everything else (ie. stripclubs) are rip-offs. You might happen to stumble across a semi or even non-pro at one of the other bars.

My favorite restaurant in Jaco is Terraza el Hicaco. It's open-air and on the beach. Expensive (for CR), but excellent food.

Whitling is right about the strip clubs. They not only have high prices but also jack people alot when they run a tab and/ or use their credit cards. Maybe one day we will have an alternative to the Beatle Bar. Ah, one can only dream.

I think El Hicaco has it's Lobster festival on Wednesdays--all the lobster, dorado, and shrimp/ salad/ desert and drinks for $34?. If you like seafood, it doesn't get any better
