Anyone know if there a chica Fee at the Gran Hotel in San Jose, it's the nice hotel across from the national theater.

Thanks in advance.

As I understand it , they won't even allow "chicas".

Icantstayaway is right on. The Gran Hotel Costa Rica will not allow you to bring a chica to your room. They have guards at every entrance who will not allow suspected working girls to enter the premises.

looks like rooms there go from about $100 (incl tax) to about $225 for the master suite.

i bet if you made a reservation for two and entered with a little darling that was well dressed, they would not say anything.

I haven't seen mention of her in awhile or seen her in years, but someone like the legendary Rocio in her finest would be better than the Gran deserved.

here is their website

http://www.grandhotelcostarica.com/

a far as eating - appitizers/sandwiches/soups, etc...start around 10 bucks

main entrees are from about 15 to 30 dollars.

c'mon, let's see one of you resident members put on your good duds and take one of your favoritas there for lunch.

If you just gotta stay there (to suck in the ambience of Old Costa Rica or whatever), well...that's why there are MPs and ST motels, yes?

Almost had to stay there one as Prez,SL, LaAmistad,Castillo,Sleep Inn were full. Looked at the rooms and are very nice, love the hotel,go for drinks or a meal every trip. However the no chica rule is a deal breaker for me. Finally got a room at the Morazon. I think the management is making a terrible mistake cutting out the mongers because they were half full compared all other gulch hotels which were completely full.

The attraction is lost on me. The casino, ground floor coffee and patio scene is great, but the rooms are 2 star, and they are jerks at the front desk.
