He paid his dues; he should get a second chance if someone wants to give him one. He should not be banned from the NFL after serving his sentence. If Pac Man can get multiple chances then Vick deserves one too. Vick’s stupidity costs him millions and one would think he might have learned something. Time will tell………

He deserved to go to jail, which he did. He lost an unbelievable amount of money which added to his punishment. But, I believe in second chances and hope he get his.

He has 2 months @ home. I am sure he can get into football shape working out at home. I believe he can have a trainer come over to the house and train him. He can watch tape of all his old games and figure out where he can improve.

But he has 31 teams (Atlanta does not want him ). I hope he gets his chance and makes a team. He was lots of fun to watch in NFL and in college.

For the record, my prediction is that the pariah image that Vick has earned will be too strong for NFL owners to ignore. The American public would forgive a murder in the heat of the moment before they would ever forgive the guy for murdering pets on a premeditated ongoing basis. The diehard football fans who want him back constitute a very small group compared to the vast number of pet lovers here and abroad.

Nobody will hire him for marketing or endorsements of any type either.

I wouldn't pay 5 cents to see a game where Vick was drawing a salary. (Yep, I"m a pet lover.)

He's a big boy and well suited for a lifetime in the construction trade, and he did it all to himself.

Shamas, It's not a race thing. It is a class thing and there are professional athletes of all races who are 'ghetto' be they white, black, yellow or whatever. I can think of countless examples of pro athletes who have behaved horribly over the years as well as cases of stellar human beings who also happen to be pro's.

This is a main reason that I dislike the term hero when applied to many athletes.

With that said, dont you agree that Vick paid is dues for his stupidity? And dont you think that its possibile for SOME people to learn from their stupid mistakes? To me it really doesnt matter what type of rout he took in life as there are people of all races that are involved in the illegal activity of dog fighting but I do think that if someone wants to give the man antother chance at football he should be allowed. What it is about and not limited to, Dog Fighting! This asshole and his crew sought out peoples family pets and stoled them to be thrown in with the Pit Bulls so they could get a taste for BLOOD!

I wasn’t trying to make light of what Vick did in regards to his dog fighting involvement. I also found it disgusting and don’t feel sorry at all for him being punished. All I was trying to say was, and I will repeat it again, is that he served his penance and should be allowed a second chance. The PITA reference was made because of my opinion of how they think anyone who does bad things to animals should be forever phucked.
