I have been following up on the Vick saga on ESPN and NFL Network. I hope he comes back to play in the NFL.

I think he deserves a second chance. Ray Lewis got a year of probation and no jail time after being indicted for murder and aggravated assault. Pacman Jones is still playing. Take a look at http://nflcrimes.blogspot.com/ and all the stuff players have gotten away with.

But any ideas on what the act of contrition/remorse Roger G is looking for?

The whole thing I bet will be quasi staged. Meaning there will be some big hoopla meeting where Vick shows just the right amount on contrition to satisfy him and thus clearing the NFL of any bad pub.

I think he deserves another chance too, we all do. I just don't think he will be half the player he once was.

I just think its funny how they try and make it sound like the rest of the NFL is filled with ideal citizens.

Give me a break. The guy could/can flat out play better then most people in the league could ever dream. He single handily carried the falcons for years. He is one of the few people that can change the game with nothing around him.

So I say let him play.

I figure he will get reinstated sometime mid season, after he does his little construction work stuff.

Im curious where he ends up. Minnesota, Tennessee, San Fransisco, Washington or Dallas are the only places I could see him having even half a chance of being signed.

I wouldn't give him accolades like that since his passing ability is straight booty. Strong arm but hardly a prolific passer.

He would go to a small market; Jacksonville, New Orleans, Tenessee etc..

However sharp Mr. Vick tried to stay, he's 3 years older and as one sports commentator said, the NFL has changed much since he last played. I agree on a desparate, smaller-market team. How long he'll last even there is problematic. The cruelest punishment is letting him back in.

Vick can play ball… wantabet he becomes a Raider?

He could be Al Davis’s saving grace… and I hate Al Davis!

Phuck the animal rights whiners… Vick has done his time and he still is a great athlete… somebody will bite the bullet and sign him.

Gotta agree with Cujo...Vick has mad athletic skills, but, IMO, can only take a team so far with some limited passing skills and coverage reading.

Definitely will be back, and I agree again at a smaller TV market stop. The backlash at a bigger market could wear on him tremendously.

He definitely deserves a 2nd chance, but he got exactly what he deserved, again IMO. I mean its not like he beat up a drunk at a strip club, or drove home from a bar at .12 BAL, or slapped his bitch around a little (Sarcasm, play along for effect).

Homey was the ring leader of a massive dog-fighting/abuse network! But he did his time, and is bankrupt to boot. Time to let him earn again.

I think he will get an opportunity to play again in some small club. But, it remains to be seen how much skill he has retained after three years. I hate what he did, but also think that he has paid a hell of a price for his actions. Even so, there is a large segment of world society that will see him as an OJ Simpson type pariah for the rest of his life. His life will never be the same.

Your correct on the spotty accuracy, but he has the intangibles an offensive coordinator dreams for.

Imagine Vick running an wildcat formation offense? Even though I think the wildcat is a sham, one hit wonder. But the ability for a quareterback to be your best athlete; and I have no doubt in my mind he is still in just as good shape as he was, is a tremendous asset

This is all coming from a guy who hates mobile QB's

I totally agree he deserves another chance, just think it is foolish to suggest (which you did not) that what he did was not a big deal.

I would seriously question his mobility now. Without that he is nobody...
That being said it would take a pretty desperate team to make him their starter at QB...

He threw people's pets into the pit so his dogs could get some kill practice. Phuck him!
