The Yankees could have gotten him, just like any other team could. Only the Dodgers gave him a contract. Now it seems there just might be a reason all those other teams were hesitant to take him.

yeah zito with win number ONE on the season. that was one helluva an investment...at this pace he should finish with at least 5 or 6 by the end of the year. :P

suppose by that way of thinking you would have been happy if you could have scored a run in the ninth of todays 8-0 drubbing just to break up the shutout for stults.
dodgers play for pennants and world series wins. :wink:

Once B. Webb gets back, I'd put the Diamondbacks starting 5 up against any in the NL.. but you can see tonight where good pitching gets you.. they lost their 3 rd straight one run game, and left 16 runners on base. :x And Felipe Lopez, the guy they got to replace O-dog, got thrown out at home from the right fielder on a force play!! :evil:


well it's still early.. that's all I can say.

and I always thought Manny threw like a girl.. :P
