You'll know you have a problem when you stop going out altogether because you're saving for your next trip! 8)

Thanks Nh and O-

Save up for next trip...I've already put a happy hour/bar sanction in play for the next 2 weeks. One bartender has already called me to see if I was sick. A stripper (who's a really hot cougar but annoyingly materialistic) has been texting me asking why my attendance is down.

I got Spanish down pretty well but have been purposely using it whenever I can with my aunts and uncles. I have started the checklist and writing down anything that I need to get. I have set the date for getting the checklist complete.

What I find odd is that both of you guys called this out. 2 things...One, you have gone through this several times, and two, you've seen a lot of people go through this. Are we all that predictable??!!!

By the way, if they close down the Mexican border, does that mean my CR trip has the possibility of getting canceled? I haven't looked at the board yet...

Yeah, it's predictable. I don't mean that in a bad way, mind you....I'm guilty as well. I dumped a sweet Colombiana in January because I couldn't stop thinking about missing the scene in CR. And don't even get me started on gringas.

I can't see you missing your trip if the Mexican border is closed unless you're connecting in Mexico City. If it does happen, I'll have a drink or 6 for ya!

I'm not sure where you'll be staying, but most of these guys seem to be staying at SL, so just show up there & I'm sure you'll run into some of us.

I've been meaning to hit Club Alcasar or Le Grillon the last couple of trips, but kept getting distracted, so anyone interested in going, let me know.

Beinvenidos jakkyl!!! I think your first mistake is staying at the SL instead of la amistad IMHO. I love hanging out at the SL bar during the day but la amistad is way way nicer and I think its still a little less expensive. I wouldnt pay any "experienced" ex pats for any type of guide service. It seems to me that these services are offered by gringos who decided to retire in CR before they had enough money to do so and are deparate for extra income. Just print the map and explore, the best plans are no plans!!!! Pura Vida

I'm on board for a happy hour !!!!!

Only 11 more days left and I'm going a little crazy. Sitting here and watching G-String Divas isn't helping me out.

Alright who stopped all the clocks in my house time is moving in slow motion now and days. 10 DAYS to go and counting!

Just looked at Nnhanks list of folks coming up in May and damn looks like we are going to have one hell of a gathering. Think I counted 27 folks coming and going from the 13th - 26th. I'm definitely down with a happy hour get together might need to be a little more specific with times cause I plan on being on permanent happy hour the whole time I'm there. Just let me know what time and place and my crew and I will gladly stop by for a few beers.

I can't really say what times I'll be there as I like working alone in the late morning and early afternoon. But if I had to place a guess, I'll always be drinking casually at the SL between 4pm and 9pm. If nothing interests me, I'll make a quick trip to the HDR.

I talk to everyone and make friends fast. However, I will ask everyone to try and refrain from allowing me to do a shot of Patron with them. If taken too early you might as well start lookin for the black out train cuz once I start, I rarely stop.

I'm actually celebrating Cinco de Mayo at a Patron tasting that's a fine dining event. I will be accompanied by a stripper with the biggest boobs on the planet!!! What is more rare is that they are real and she's not fat. My general plan this week is to drink as much as possible in order to lose track of time. I'll tell you if it works...
