Great. PL has switched from heroin to methadone. A few more years on the methadone and he'll be ready to kick the narcotics completely. PL, substituting the Dom. Rep. for C.R. is like switching hands while masturbating...either way, you're still jerking off. Which is what I've been doing a lot of lately...which led me to think about my own C.R. addiction...which led to a good cry. Which was followed by making this interesting post.

But, unlike other addictions, the only 12 step program I'm interested in are the twelve steps from the SL bar to my room.

My first time I went to Tamarindo by accident and ran into 3 girls. It got me curious and that's how I found this website. I made a trip to Jaco exactly 1 year later. After reading a bunch of posts and some trust I put in you guys I changed my plans and spent a day in HDR. Jaco was great but SJO was incredible. A month after I made 3 plane tickets for 2009. I can't believe I made my first trip for May!!!!!! I also can't fathom my second trip to San Jose being better than the first.

I was hooked after 1 trip. I trided to stop. I dated a gringa. I will return for 8 days on the 13th. 9 more days and a wake up.

I made my first visit last July. Second followed in October. Made my mind up then, I was done. Retiring early, plan on moving permanently this fall. Go to bed thinking about it, wake up thinking about it. Can't come to soon. Too weak to resist. who wants to.

Greywolf, when you do it, leave your stuff at home. Rent only in CR, own nothing, enjoy, send us trip reports frequently and do nothing that would impede your return home if you decide that CR is not for you. Possessions and a home purchase there will tie you down.

If after a time, CR is not for you, try Lima, Colombia or elsewhere.. Then keep home as an option for your safe base.

The second phase of your life should be the good part!

Oh yeah... MDE is to SJO as heroin is to morphine. I would suggest without ever having tried MDE, but based upon all the glowing reports.... if you get addicted to C.R., MDE will simply step up the dosage and hook you even harder!

Point is, you take an average American or Canadian guy, put him in a place where the sex is easy and relatively inexpensive, where the women treat you like a king, where the whole Latin vibe permeates your thoughts and feelings... you're going to become addicted. I know I did. And still four months until my next trip. Bu ju ju....

And the temporary methadone maintenance of masturbation sho' 'nuff doesn't cut it.

However the thread is true. Stumbled on CRT after a rather bad break up. Came to CR and stayed at the SL as a treat to myself. Yep goggle eyes at the HDR, had a wingman take me. But still...........
