Okay, you're about to make your first trip into the land of milk and honeys. You're excited about dipping into a little Latina action, trying local foods and beverages, maybe even getting out of Gringo Gulch and looking around this beautiful little country, which is only about the size of the state of West Virginia. You've got your passport, your lubes and condoms. You've voraciously consumed post after post here on CRT.

Now please heed the following warning. :!: DANGER :!: I don't care who you are, what kind of sexual experiences you've had in the past, how street-smart you are or how good your game is.... after this trip,

YOU WILL be phucked forever.

The addiction takes hold the minute the doors close and the jet bridge is pulled away from your plane leaving C.R.

You'll get home, filled with great memories that will prompt you to tell everyone you know about. Don't do it.

You will sit up nights, unable to sleep, thinking about the hot spinner that ground your beef to a Reggaetone tune. You'll smell the perfumes the girls wear. You will suddenly crave an Imperial (which IMHO isn't very good beer, but it IS Costa Rican).

You'll start looking at your bank accounts and work schedule, trying to find time and money for a quick return.

You'll become agitated, restless, bored. A mild but persistent depression may set in, as you look at the gringas around you.

You will lie to your spouse or girlfriend, or at least to your boss. If you smoke, your consumption will double for awhile. You may drink more, trying to drive down the longing.

In short, you will behave like any addict in need of a fix.

I make this warning not as a joke, but as a serious caveat. Know before you even take your first trip: Even if you only have a marginally good time, you will be addicted.

Don't think it will happen to you? Yeah, so did I. I thought I'd be immune; a quick and fun experience, and then I'd move on. In a couple very short weeks, I became addicted to Latina poosie, Centennario rum, Pilsen beer, gallo pinto, ceviche and the companionship of good fellas of CRT.

Five years later, and the addiction still hasn't eased. If anything it's gotten worse.

So, please go into your first trip with the knowledge that you're flirting with a lifelong addiction here.

I wish you luck and safety. Enjoy your trip. :D

It would still be the same even if you WERE forewarned.

Good post EC and so very true. After a first trip to CR all one can think about is how to back there ASAP. And if you can't return to your new addiction, then you will know the 'dark side'.

That said, a visit to CR should be on every guys 'bucket list'.

This is a real concern. For me it was not that I was that I missed being here, I think. I just couldn't stand to be in the USA knowing that all my little girl friends were waiting at the Blue Marlin to have an afternoon drink or shoot pool at the SL.

I never made my flight home and on my 3rd trip, I simply didn't return.

Note to readers who do not know. Pacifica55 made the move to C.R. during his fourth trip, and has now been living there for over a year . He dealt with his C.R. addiction by moving into the dealer's house. :P  Smart S.O.B. if you ask me...

Nice thread El C-

To me the addiction extends way beyond the chicas but the amount of girls around constantly is certainly a plus.

It's my cell phone not working in CR hence no stateside worries.

It's being on vacation in general instead of work. It's having the same agenda which is to party with friends and chicas everyday. It's meeting new guys as well as continuing old relationships. It's the feeling of being welcomed (most notably by the SL and it's staff).

It's the not a care in the world, zero responsibility I feel that is a certain factor during my trips and why I look forward to them.

Nothing can beat a great group of guys from one day to the next bullshittin' and partying day after day.

I think most newbies would think their 2nd and 3rd trips would be even better. So if you've only been once and liked it, it gets better trust me.

And if you learn spanish, pffft, then fuggetaboutit 8)

Just three months ago I decided to renew for the lifetime membership. Then I bagan to have doubts. What if I overdosed on the chicas? Could I grow numb and lose my desire? Have I wasted my money?

Thank you for slapping me back to reality. I am hooked for life and I am ready to stand up and admit it to the group.

Hello. My name is Lostinspace and I am addicted to chicas. I will return in abot 60 days.
