Visiting a favorita, but want to be able to make it down to San Jose for some action ocasionally

thanks

Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn are just outside the airport toward San Jose. Short ride 5 to 10 minutes to Alajuela from them. There is a Fiesta casino and a Dennys there also.

I've stayed at the Hampton Inn near the airport. It's a very nice American style hotel. If you've ever stayed at a Hampton Inn in the US you know what to expect. The place is eerily identical! Nice rooms, comfy beds, nice linens, free WiFi, etc, etc... They also have a free shuttle to/from the airport, 24/7. No taxi required for the airport.

It's too bad the place isn't in the gulch! But then, I doubt if they want to be there. Doesn't fit their business model.

It ain't a hotel and I doubt it's chica friendly, but:

http://www.vidatropical.com/ You did say you were visiting a favorita so maybe she has the place.....

The owner is Grupo Marta who are notoriously anti prostitutes in their properties. On the other hand they own the Best Western Downtown. Go figure?

ID,

Is the Best Western Downtown still chica friendly? Not that I think I would ever stay there but I am curious.

Steven1's linked venue Vida Tropical's price structure is a bit confusing. Look at Double occupancy for $45/night--extra person $10. What does that mean? But yes definitely a younger crowd (younger than me, I mean). And they do accept well-behaved pets.

Since it is a Grupo Marta property there may be a problem. Why not call them or email them and ask what is their guest policy. 011-506-2436-0000 or 011-506-442-2781. hisreservas@grupomarta.com & www.hamptoninn.com. Doubt that the web site will be much help as it is the corporate site for all Hampton Inns.

Has been no recent information posted on that hotel so really do not know the present policy.
