Small hotel on the beach with 6 rentals and an apartment. Owners are very motivated to sell. They are asking a million but are probably willing to accept a little less. Just passing the word along. Word is they would probably take 850k. Could be a little private paradise. There is a small pool in the back and an area to cook and hangout in front.

Which hotel is it, and how many rooms does it have?

It's a little place called Villa Gecko. Has six rentals and an apartment in front. Small pool in back and a bbq hangout area in front...... More like an aparthotel than a formal hotel...

Can't do all the numbers but back of the envelope--fully rented = $540/ night.
Nice looking boutique place--here's the Website in English, French and Spanish including contact info. Includes a restaurant serving desayuno and light sunset snacks. Somebody should do well with this place.

Assuming 60% occupancy......its worth 600-800K
But you get an apartment and its on the water.....
BUT its in jaco and I would guess there are security issues down there. Hence need the gate in front of the beach.
Seems like a fair price but nobody will get a loan for that amount. Must have cash so probably room for negotiation.

Not even in the realm of possibility for me to do it, but I would love to have it for my clients. It is really chill on that end of the beach. I think it is priced ok compared to other Jaco properties that it will be a fairly good investment, just the property itself, once the economy and real estate market thaw a little. Fairly rustic, but the rooms are nice. I stayed there a few weeks ago when I had a problem in my apt.

If every CRT registerd member chips in $46 we own it :D
The down side of that is that it would take almost nine years for every member to stay there one night
If I had he money this is would be must look at

For 650-800K this is a good deal, but no bank will loan you the money so you have to have cash. Looks nice though

At which end of the beach is it, I assume on the southern end?

Hey Greengo...does that mean they picked up the plastic bags and old tires? Actually, it might be the right size for a Jaco version of Sportsmans Lodge.

Are there beaches in Costa Rica known for their non-sewage and clean water? What about Puerto Viejo area?
