Definitely agree, and I'm looking forward to redirecting my spending to CR. Although I'm a newbie here, I actually have been to SJO before -- but not since 1999. I did partake of and enjoyed the local talent. Ah, Club Taipan!!!

My 02 on the subject. I am obviously new here and am anxiously waiting my first trip to CR, not quite sure when that will be but Im hoping this year. I feel that hey, Im on vacation, I brought cash to spend so Im gonna spend it. If I meet a nice young lady that is willing to spend a quality 2-3 hours with me, maybe more, then she is worth every bit of cien. I wouldnt want to pay that much for a wham bam thank you mam sort of experience but for the other, heck yea. What Im finding funny as I read alot of these posts is that people are willing to spend $80 but not $100? What is it with the extra $20? Do you feel she is worth $80 an hour but not $100? I dont get it. Now if we were talking $50 that would be a different story. I could see trying to talk them down half but $20? Anyway....so whats the story anyway. Say, you walk into the BM and spot several drop dead gourgeous chicas asking for cien and theyre not budging. Do you bypass them and go to the other less attractive girls for $80 or do you go with the bombshell for cien? I think I would go with the bombshell and take my chances with her attitude......

Okiemike – do not sweat that one and disregard it. Some people are just as hung up on not paying $100 as the chicas are to ask for it. I’m with you, if it between a $20 difference or a hand job, I won’t be arguing about it.

It's not the $20 that most of us object to, it's a principle...

It's the same principle as to why I won't just pay a cab 2000 colones to take me from SL to HDR. On the meter it'll be 600... Yeah, what's that USD $3 difference? that's nothing, right? Well, it's the principle of it all...

If the girl won't cone off $100, then the chances of having a good time with her are probably not as good as the chances of having a good time with a girl who will, or who'll agree to 2, 3, or 4 hours with you for that 100.

She's also just plain overcharging you because you're gringo...

That's the basics of it...

That's why none of us like paying cien.

I HAVE paid cien, but I've gotten 3-4 hours out of it, or SOMETHING.

In all my time in SJO, I've only paid 100 for a 1hr with a girl once... and that was in January this year...

AND SHE WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY...

But we had negotiated a lower rate, but at the end I had such a great time that I gave her 120... which she said would happen with the way she performed, and, without her even asking, I gave it to her, the session blew my mind.

If this past weekend is any indication, dont even sweat the $100. I was quoted $60, $70, and $80 all weekend at SL.

There was some real nice talent in there as well. I did spot Gina (HLH/ZB) both days, and Cristina on Sat. night., as well as Ana and bunch of new cute faces among the "regulars". All in all, a great weekender

By the way, maybe Pac or a few others will see this....any sightings or news of Andrea?? Is she OTM?

oakiemike-You definitely missed something.The vast majoritysaid that $20 would not stop them from a must have.Others have said that based on there experience the extra $20+ was not worth it.Its your money spend it however you want.After you have a couple trips under your belt revisit it and see how you feel.Just my 2cents.

It's not the $20 difference that make guys walk away, it's the attitude that their shit don't stink and how they look act like they are doing us a favor by going with us. If it was just the $20 difference with the service being identical, I'd say 90% would pay it. There are some guys who just refuse to pay $100 for whatever reason (they're cheap, think it's not a fair price, etc). And if it's strictly for 1 hr (non-negotiable), then you can pretty much tell she's a clock-watcher. Usually, not always, the session will be less than good. You will come out of it feeling like a sucker who just got taken.

It's hard to put it into words but you'll see the difference in attitudes and the way they are with you once you get there. Then you will understand better what guys here are trying to say.

Yes, I have paid cien and probably will again. But, with cien there never has been and never will be a tip. I almost always tip to some extent below that especially at the MPs where the chicas don't get much.

OM, I basically agree with you about not making a big issue of getting a chica down to $80 from $100.

Based on your reference to find a drop-dead-looking chica, I think you will learn that your best, perhaps GFE, experiences will be with chicas who are, say, 7 and 8's. (I wager that most CR regulars would agree with me on that.) I think a lot of the knockouts are out for a fast cien score, with little concern for your satisfaction.

Okiemike, I am not sure if you're a regular monger or just an occassinal hobbyist but why do you want to go to CR for pu*sy? There are definitely wokring girls where you live right? The reason I assume you want to go to CR is to get more bang for your buck. A little more for your cien than wham bam thank you ma'am. Now imagine if 10 years ago, guys had no qualms about paying cien. 10 years later now, trust me, you won't be paying cien now but maybe dos cientos. And it continues, if every guy is willing to pay cien now, 10 years from now, it will be dos or tres cientos. It's not a matter of being cheap, it's a matter of keeping prices low so that we can all enjoy the hobby.
