Are these quakes quite common in CR? Thats 2 this year right? Before you know 10's at the DR wil be selling for $20!!!!

CR averages almost 4000 "quakes" a year. The majority are so minor they barely cause a seismographic ripple.

Has not effect the HDR price in the 14 year history of the place.

:D :D :D Can not believe it :!:   I get to correct ID    . HDR opend in 1993; Sept or Oct. I believe. That makes it "15 + year history of the place"   . But you are right in that the earthquakes do not seem to have effected the prices

Guess we will have to accept your date because previously when the topic came up no one, including yourself, could supply a date.

ID, I do not know (remember) why but I guess I never posted about the date that HDR opened mainly because (I guess) I assumed everyone had seen the large dedication plaque on the wall beside the lobby bar. It lists the names of the 3 owners and the opening date. Sorry can not remember exactly what all is on it otherwise--since I do not go in there, I have not seen it in a while.

As for Squidface's suggestion that it may have changed "a bit since its inception", yes it has changed and evolved (progressed??) I was in there the first time in Feb of 1995. There seemed to be a lot more emphasis on the casino back then, but there were a lot of working chicas and gringos (though not in the numbers there are today) I think the first person I met there on that trip was a real sweet, and fairly new, red headed bartender :!: That I felll in love with    . Guess which bartender that is????

The changes to the HDR/BM have been rather extensive since it opened. The BM occupied less then half of its current space. The lobby had a sports book and a rather busy fishing trip desk. There was a restaurant and full kitchen on the north side past the lobby and probably many more I overlooked. The exact timing of the changes I can not be certain as I never spent much time there instead preferring Happy Days and the KL. KL was not owned by the HDR at that time.
