Anyone know if there are any C172 or PA28 (any SEL is fine) and CFI's available for hire? Someone suggested I check out Tobias Bolanos, but I can't find any info on the web about FBO's or flight schools.

Alternatively, anyone have your own small craft and be willing to play tour guide and share a cien hamburger. I've got a few more days and thought this might be a more fun way to see CR.

2 Gringos run this place 10mins south of Jaco.

I flew the 2 engine AIRCAM with them about 4yrs ago.
What a cool bird.! See this months kitplanes for more AIRCAM info.
Their location south of Jaco is great place for a light aircraft.

Nice long and wide grass strip close to the ocean.

I tried to contact them this Feb when I was in Jaco but got no call back.

So try and book well in advance if your out that way.

My hotel (Matt at La Amistad) came up with the following possibilities:

(these two seem to specialize in turbine aircraft and helicopters, at about $1,000 an hour and up)

You can get flight instruction, fixed wing or helicopter at the airport in Pavas, which is on the west side of San Jose.
