MrLasVegas' post explains why I have no friends and few companions--I love and revere the English language, almost always speak in complete sentences, and have been known to speak whole paragraphs of carefully-thought-out words. No hope for me in this casual world.
Question-- I thought a llama was an alpaca-like critter.
Whenever I been asked my name in Spanish, there was usually another word appended thus--"Como se llama, m*therf*cker?" Been wandering in the wrong neighborhood, have I?

You guys argue just about anything either way, “usted” or “tu” will do just fine. You got her name. I will take you a step forward and say that using ‘tu” is a door to become more intimate or get closer to the chica. Just like whispering make a person come closer to you, a “tu” might drop some of those defenses. I will add that if you can add the following to any phrase or part of a conversation will make big points with the chica.

¿Mi vida, como usted se llama?
¿Come tu te llamas, mi vida?
¿Mi reina, como te llamas?
¿Como tu te llamas, mi reina?
¿Mi corazón, como te llamas?
¿Como usted se llama, mi corazón?

You are just adding a simple adjective to make a full sentence and a compliment to a chica. They will eat it up.
