Jason Taylor didn't get "canned". He decided that spending time with his family and small Ch*ldren was more important than $8 mil. He told the Redskins that the off-season is the only time he can be with them and could not committ to 3 workouts a week. So they decided to cut him. He didn't do it out of laziness or just becauses he didn't feel like it. You have to respect a man who would give up that much money to be there for his family.
Orange, he's got an 8 month off season. They wanted 25 team workouts. More than enough time to spend with family. It is well known he wants to start transitioning to an acting career. BTW, I am from Miami, have met him, spoke to him quite a bit and he is a classy guy and a great player to center your D-line schemes around. If you don't your stupid. He didn't work out last off season b/c of dancing and was injured early in the season. He also had a very bad year with injuries and did not have many sacks. As a matter fact he had less sacks all year than he did in a single game the previous season. Oh well, maybe I just shouldn't have brought him up in the same breath as T.O.
Now as for T.O., yeah he drops a lot of balls and often when they hit him in the numbers
,but he is still a great receiver, gets over 1,000 yards and I think he still led Dallas in TD's. But for that good comes too much bad, too much distraction, a media circus he revels in, and bad team chemistry. I would not want him on my favorite team, the Fins. And I doubt Parcels or Sparano does either. Parcells always looked so disgusted he had to put up with that circus b/c of Jerry Jones' control in Dallas. It was funny watching Parcels roll his eyes and just walk off during that whole "suicide" fiasco. The question is, which coach can tame this A-hole and his sideshow? Belichek? Del Rio? which coach is not afraid of the player or his salary and will bench his ass?
