I ran across a hotel next door to Zona Blue/Hotel Havanna- the Posada Amon Inn (Av 9, Calle 5, 2222-6700). I brought my favorita Colombiana girl from the Del Rey (4 blocks away) we stayed 3 hours and it was only $30.00- and a 500 colone cab ride at night. They said they are offering discounts for multiple visits and repeat business and weekly rates as well for much lower than surrounding hotels. The rooms are clean and nice too. SInce all our money is tight these days, I thought it was worth it.

ONLY 30.00? You could have gone to Motel Eden for that or La Oficina for half.

Might be worth a walk thru to check out, nice alternative to Asia (same price I believe) and a LOT closet than Motel Eden.. Need to check out La Oficina one of these days for 8500 colones, 3 hrs with a jacuzzi.... Sounds pretty good.

Any amenities Zander ??. Do you have any interest in the property ?? No VIP, 1st post. a bit suspicious.... :?

Seems to be a bit of a run on that lately. New sign up, first post, non VIP (which is understandable) and they are promoting something :?:

I agree Brother ID. Coincidence or are they being steered to us, do you think?

I rekall when La Oficina was Farol Rojo. It was a kosy place with a jakuzzi inside each room.

I had several good sessions with a chika named Priscilla. The rest of the chikas was not quite up to par.

Too bad it was klosed down because the owners refused to pay bribes.

I have seen three bust at "the office" in the last 6 months. I have no idea who or what the problem was, but id stay away from that area at all cost. We don' t need anymore guys getting the shake down for money.

Edem is very nice- I agree. But I paid 15,000 colones + 4,500 col Taxi + 6000 in/out colone taxi entrada fee. Add it all up and it costs more. Posada Amon is only 4 blocks from the Del Rey you can walk it during the day anyway. So it costs more to go to Edem. No Blankets at Edem either. Oficina and Asia are dirty, feo, suseo places IMHO. YMMV of course.

I went to Eden the other day. We really did not need blankets, they simply were not a part of what was going on.

It was somewhat disappointing in that the Jacuzzi did not work very well and the steam didn’t work at all.

My chicas and I were cold earlier this year in winter without blankets for hanging around to spend more time together. I mean, Edem isn't a short time/close to Del Rey/SL place like Posada Amon.

is the Hotel Nuevo Johnson still about 10 to 15 bucks a night?

I always enjoyed the rooms there and the chica fees were like a laughable 1 or 2 thousand colones.

Eden is great if you have your own car. But I have always been charged an extra fee for taxi pickup/dropoff. I don't know why, and I haven't been able to get a straight answer from anyone about it.

At first I thougth it was a scam, but I've taken taxis there from other places and was still charged the fee, and they don't charge it going to any other hotel.

3K Colones covers some entrance fee for a private road "tax" or insurance fee I was told by a driver I trust. Their own insurances does not cover them if an accident occurs after entrada on Edems property.

Posada Amon just got bought out recently (end of December). I knew the old owners quite well. I know NOTHING of the new people...

Never stayed there though...
