I see that a lot of guys are staying at the Amistad. I have not yet stayed there, but it seems to have a vibe like the Castillo with a slightly less convenient location. Why the Amistad?

Comparing the Castillo and the Amistad is like comparing apples and oranges, IMHO, the Castillo is run down, not very well kept up, whereas LaAmistad I would compare more to SL. It is very run by the new owner, the staff is outstanding, in addition to the Free eggs to order breakfast with fruit, juices, coffee, bread, etc, laundry done for the asking and a small propina, and a block away from Sportsmens Lodge which is difficult to get into with short notice, although LaAmistad is heading in that direction as well.

I know they are both booked for the weekend of the fiesta. By the time you arrive, I will be staying at SL after 4 nights at LaA but a lot of my friends are at LaA if you would like to see some of the rooms.

El Silencioso, will be there 2/19-2/24, also showing a newb around. Staying at Amistad.

When I first decided to celebrate my 50th in Costa Rica, I thought a few of my good friends would make a concerted effort to be there to celebrate the event with me. NEVER in my wildest dreams did I think as many of the “A-TEAM GOODFELLAZ” would respond and make plans to be there…. (Along with a few newbie’s.. )

Wanted to take a moment and THANK everyone in advance, in case I am unable afterward , especially mis buenos amigos (you know who you are) who will be in attendance. Your presence is more than anyone could have expected or asked for.

Hey, Just a thought, as we are less than 2 weeks from the big event, we should consider each inviting a chica or two to the party to ensure this will not be an entire CHORIZO festival…

It WAS expected and asked for. In fact it was demanded upon pain of IRS audit. He knows where all the bodies are buried, I HAD to be there. I thought I was the only one he had by the balls, but looking at the list I’m in good company LOL

I am in SJO from the 19th to the 26th at the Amistad. If its an open invite, love to join everyone for El Sil's 50th.

I know that the SL likes to screen the girls that hang there so is it all right to bring others in the night of the party I know this is a dumb ? Just wanted to check Having been SJ the last few days and had a couple of girls that would love to go On for me and as party favor

You shouldn't have any problems Hank. They check their ID, but that's no problem. I've never had an issue bringing any girl to SL.

Anyone else chime in if you disagree.

One or two of my Favoritas, have been banned for life. (It was so embarrasing )I too was threatened by audit if I did not show up.

For anybody still looking for a room for the party, looks like my 3 amigos are not coming due to scheduling conflicts.

Therefore, 3 Queen-sized rooms at Amistad will be available for 2/20-2/24 (once it's confirmed they're not coming). They were supposed to be coming a day before me.

I will be emailing the hotel tonight about 9pm Eastern once I'm sure they are not going.

Considering that whole incident with you leading the donkey in to the courtyard and the ensuing display, I'm really not surprised they're banned to be honest.
