I've eaten several times at Rostipollos, but I think it is overpriced and the quality is only so-so.
And on one recent trip, at the Rostipollos on the north side of Sabana Park, they padded the credit card bill after I signed it and I got dunned for an extra $40-something dollars. I think my tab for dinner and a beer for two people was about $28, but when I got my credit card statement a few weeks later that meal cost me about $69.
Unfortunately, after I got home I threw away my crumpled receipts and so had no evidence to dispute the charge.
I'd suggest paying in cash if you eat there.

It is only a personal habit, but I NEVER use my credit card or ATM when I am out and about. NEVER! Everything is cash.

It is good for two reasons:

1.) When I run out of money I stop spending; that really helps stay on budget;

2.) If I never use my credit card or ATM when I am out then my chances of being a victim of fraud drop DRAMATICALLY.

On the quality of Rostipollo:

the condiments, rice, beans, potato chips, etc... ARE CRAP...

The roasted chicken.... I found to be VERY good...

That's just my opinion...

I usually just get a whole roasted chicken, and the sides I get elsewhere....

Anyone try Pollo Leña #11 (I think they are all #11)? I like it.

We have one of those Ron Propeal (spelling) roasters and it really produces some good, chupa los dados chicken.

Cole slaw in CR is something I avoid. Their refrigeration is not the best, but even worse, is their habit of not refrigerating everyhting. So cole slaw(mayo product) sitting out for a long time will make you very sick.

SALUD!
