I saw this post and was trying to work it the opposite direction. I am from TX living in Costa Rica and tried to make a reservation to visit family. Airfare from Liberia or San Jose to Dallas was a minimum of $855, after taxes and fees.

You did not post what dates you are looking for but I did a quick search using both the AA web site and Travelocity for both Feb & March SJO/DFW/SJO and got fares around $430.00 including taxes and fees.

Brother Ibeans--Oh, you tease! That must be from NYC-area airports--found nothing for Philly. <sigh>

Just something you might try Jazz. I recently booked a SJO/PHL/SJO trip. I got the best fare (little over $400.00) by booking a flight SJO/MIA/SJO and a separate booking MIA/PHL/MIA. Saved over $100.00 if I had booked SJO/PHL/SJO and got the exact same flight either way.

Hi CR fans,
Just checked the travel sections and I found trips from LAX/Phoenix to CR for middle of March for $334 on COPA, $349 on UA-AIR.

I might take COPA, now looking for hotel (Castillo, Freebird, Amistat etc).
I live in southern Ca. and will park my car at a parking lot. Any co pilots?
