One of my all time must see places for each trip Rosti Pollos.Great food at a great price.There is one within a 10min walk of HDR.

Do you really like this place? I have tried it. I normally like chicken/ tortilla joints. But I thought it was not a good deal.Was definately nothing like El Pollo Loco, my favorite west coast equivalent.

Rosti Pollos is good but I wouldn't call it cheap.

Rosti Pollos? Really? Too pricey and I can find better pollo asado somewhere else.

I love Rosti Pollos and agree it is not cheap. But good and healthy food. I eat several meals there but don't get much play from the locals eating there. Seems to be more flirtatious chicas at the tipico places as Greengo alluded to in another post.

a whole roasted chicken from Rosti Pollo is one of my favourite meals...

I used to make it a point of stopping at the Rosti Pollo by the airport every time I flew out...

Now it's every time I remember and am not running late... Which isn't all that often...

However, I believe there's a rostipollo only about a 5 min walk from HDR... Near the Plaza de la cultura...

Got one around the corner from the casa and occaisionally I will treat the favorita to a meal there (she used to work at one before discovering a more lucrative engagement ) Good food at USA restaurant prices...can't compare it to a comida tipico place.

They have them in Managua too...my driver was hungry so I took him there to eat...was like Christmas for him...

Yes, I would agree not cheap by local price however I never said cheap but great price compared to US prices for a local spot.I love the black beans and chips the best.

The Rosti Pollo in town is on calle 5 between avenida central and 1 on the west side of the street. From HDR go west on avenida 1 2 blocks turn left and half way down the block on the right is RP.

I would have gone from Plaza de la Cultura go north 1/2 block on East side. RP is 1/2 block up on LHS.

But that's cause I don't go to the HDR that often...

Yea but many guys have enough trouble finding the HDR so trying to find Plaza Cultura would really be a challenge.

By far the worst chain in Costa Rica. I would rather eat at a local chicken spot in Leon 13 then eat there...well that's not really true, but you get the point.

Don't waste your money on anymore Tico cafeteria food!

I like Rosti Pollo too and agree it is too expensive for what you get. Pollo Leña is just as good or better and more economical although not by much.
