I believe the situation was one of an extreme overabundance of caution.
BB lives here and hangs out with friends. They would regularly meet at a the DR to go on walks of the city.

The management saw them leaving and incorrectly viewed this as taking customers away from their business when in fact, they would not have been there to begin with if it had not been for their planned walk.

The true result was actually the opposite. Many times one of the guys from the group would get sidetracked with a girl sitting at the bar and bail from the group.

I've never been thrown out, but I did have a guy thrown out trip before last.

You learn to spot things like this, and this guy was walking around surreptitiously filming everything in the DR with a micro cam. I repositioned, confirmed what I was thinking, and called security over and quietly showed them what to look for, they saw it for themselves, and they escorted him to the door. No drama, very professional. And they were very appreciative particularly of me handling it all quietly without alerting anyone else, which shows intelligence on their part.

I've never been thrown out but I do remember reading the old posts where one of our long time veterans was thrown out several times.

Maybe Pacoloco can help on this since he knows a lot of facts and happenings from the early 2000's.

The character I'm referring to is Circus. if I remember correctly, he was thrown out twice because he was parading around the BM and lobby with his blow up doll....can't remember her name. There was another time but I can't remember whether it was a fight or he was drunk and yelling at the staff. I think Circus knew the owners but they did not appreciate his antics. Strange old fellow at best but he sure had some hilarious stories.

I did see a tico get thrown out for yelling at and grabbing a working girl. Might have been his girl friend.

I was escorted to the door by 8 bouncers, and told to not come back for at least a day, but that was drug related.

Actually Captain Asshat, I'm the grammar nazi that pointed out you sounded like an idiot. I'll go further and point out that I am "livin'" because I have been kicked out of the KL and the HDR. So while you feel like a million dollars for being a dumbass it isn't anything to be that impressed about. You aren't that special and taking a minute to at least make sure your post sounds marginally intelligent might have earned you some sympathy.

English can be a beautiful and nuanced tongue, to be savored and manipulated. Or it can be a simple tool get get shit done. But it is always a means to communicate your ideas and needs. No one will take the time to consider your ideas or needs if you aren't interested in at least taking the time to present your case in an coherent fashion.

In the majority of cases they show a lot of restraint.They(security) do an excellent job in handleing men and women who cause trouble.Since you wont confess to what you actually did,i will assume it was over the top.In any case the DR will survive without your patronage.
