For all of you potential Paul Prudhommes, Emerills or Chef Boy RD,s.
A friend of mine recently passed away. I have been charged with disposing of his assets. Among them is a collection of about 50 or 60 cookbooks. Ranging from a full set of Mc Calls cooking school books to VHS tapes of various cooking schools. Very impresive if you are interested in this type of thing.

The problem is they are all in english so I can not donate them to any spanish speaking organization. I really do not want to put them in the dump. If anyone has any interest PM me.

If this is in the wrong forum, I'm sorry

I have no personal interest but hate to seem them just dumped. Only place I know that might want them is a chef in Escazu who runs a culinary school. You might check with him.

I might have an interest in a couple of them...

I'll be there wed-mon

Another thought would be an English school/class...

Not for the whole lot, but perhaps for some...

Brother ID's pal Chef Big Mike doesn't just run a culinary school but also a tasty 14-room B & B. Check out the culinary courses offered! Something for everyone, novice to Master Chef. Even after eating a mess of pork chops, I got hungry all over again. Plus you MSU grads--the monthly alumni meeting is there. Does it get any better than that? I don't expect it's too Chica-friendly but other than that...
This part of this Thread will show up in "Searches" in the future, you bet.
