Interesting thread.....
IMO - Zebra, IceColdOne and Jmac are right on the money!

There's definitely 2 sides to every story. I'm glad that Casa Vino decided to defend himself / his business by posting his side of the story, so others can decide for themselves.

I agree. Business is business!

IMHO policy is policy. God knows we all shake our heads at various properties policy, but if you don't agree simply don't stay there.
Exactly! There are many places, in mongering venues all over the world, where we may not agree with their policies. But noone's forcing you to stay anywhere!
Basically, here's my take on this situation :
- If you don't like the establishment's dress code...
DON'T STAY THERE!
- If you don't like the prices of the establishment...
DON'T STAY THERE!
- If you don't like chica fees at the establishment...
DON'T STAY THERE!
- If you don't like the location of the establishment...
DON'T STAY THERE!
- If you don't like the policies of the establishment...
DON'T STAY THERE!
There's probably a million more things one could add to this list. But it goes to show you - My tag line is applicable to more than just chica's....
NEXT !
On one hand - Running a business in CR is difficult enough, without having to chase someone down for monies owed.
On the other hand - It's very simple, and has been stated above -
Policy is policy! Why was Florida allowed to stay at CV after he stated (right from the beginning) that he had no intention of complying with CV's policy of payment up front ? I'm sure CV won't make that mistake again.
Since none of us were there, it's difficult to point fingers – or to say who's right or wrong. But I certainly would've liked to have seen this issue resolved via back channels or with Admin1's help. From what I've seen and heard from other CRT'ers, Casa Vino has always been a good and reputable CRT sponsor, with little very negative feed-back.
Either way, it's an unfortunate situation. And I hope both parties can work it out.
