Gentlemen....Happy Holidays!

#1 Matt has turned a below average and sad looking hotel (Hotel Amistad) into a VERY NICE hotel which really enhances the Barrio Otoya/Bario Amon area immensely.

#2 Sportsmens Lodge does have three satellite dishes that the feeds are seen in all the rooms and bar areas. (Not just for Bill’s personal use) Steven1 I am not not sure where that one came from ?

:)
Best Regards,

Bill

Is that the place on the corner, about ½ block south of the SL and frente the Casa Amarilla?

Do you show college bowl games?

Is there a CRT dicount on drinks and food?

Diego, There will be four flat screens in the main bar and 3-4 flat screens in the smoking bar. You will be able to change them to whatever channel you would like. And Yes we will offer a 10% CRT discount in the bar and restaurant.

Regards
Matt

Last question, can I smoke cigars there? -- inside the smoking bar I mean.

Matt

I have stayed at your place every trip to SJ except the first one and can say that I haven't had a bad experience yet. I usually stay in one of the penthouses but have stayed in other rooms too.

On changing the layout of room 310 I can say that the spiral staircase can be a royal b*tch to climb up or down especially after a night of hard partying but don't know how else you could lay out the room without it seeming out of place. However it is - the staircase that is - nice to follow a chica up the stairs getting an eyefull of what awaits.

The staff has never been anything but hospitable and very willing to help with anything that I asked and the fact that you do offer a CRT discount is welcome.

I for one will continue to split my time between the SL and your place as I enjoy both hotels.

Thanks
CJ

Room 310 ($119 per night) This is the loft penthouse. Currently the bedroom is in the loft section. We are considering moving it below and moving the sitting room upstairs. please let me know your thoughts. Currently there is a sofa that sits about 10 people comfortably, fireplace that is wood buring, (but we only will allow candles for safety reasons, a large closet and desk. We will be removing the closet and desk and adding a dry sauna and jacuzzi in 2009.

Matt,
I have stayed at your place for my first 2 trips to SJ and must say that I haven't had a bad experience yet.
I stayed in room 310 on my last visit, I can say that the spiral staircase is a little rough after to many drinks, I can't figure out where you will put the bed if you change. The staircase is nice to follow a guest up after a nice shower. The room needs a microwave to be complete.

The staff has never been anything but hospitable and very willing to help with anything that I asked. I noticed the rates are going up, I have booked in advance for Feb. do I have to pay the increased rate?

Thanks

All reservations that were booked prior will be honored at the old pricing. Prices on the penthouses went up ten dollars, we did lower prices on some of the deluxe rooms $60 (3 rooms) and did not change the pricing on queen and king deluxe rooms. We still have the 15% Daily crt discount and 25% weekly. For those who wish to stay the month 35% crt discount.

Regards
Matt

MattGuys,

I love the Amistad, but vowed after my last stay thatI would not stay there again until the renovations were completed. Now that the renovations are done, I'm ready to again stay at the Amistad. I gotta tell you; Matt's employees are excellent! The breakfast is the best "included with room stay" breakfast of any hotel I know, the location is prime... this is a great property.

I stayed in 310...I love that room! And for you *pansies* that can't handle the spiral staircase: If a drunk, clumsy blind guy can handle the staircase, you better get your act together.

I'd move the bed but would have no idea how to arrange the main level with a king-size bed in it. I like the loft as is.

Redman

Not sure if we had a Koon family member or not. We do not have a fee and we do not have a guest limit. We do ask that you exercise judgement on noise limits to neighbors.

Thanks

Matt
