I say the loser of the Chargers-Broncos game. Also I don't know if we are going back to the NBA and NHL seasons that ended last year (since we went back to baseball that's already over), but if so I would say the Ottawa Senators win this award running away. In the second half last year they were one of the five or six worst teams in the league yet they still made the playoffs (tells you how good they can play) and were a bigger doormat than any 8 seed I have ever seen (I think they were a 6).

The Chargers seemed to have the worst underachiever title sewn up but they have complicated by playing their best ball while Denver shows that they have been, in fact, a mediocre team unworthy of playoff contention all along.

The Cubs pulled the same el fold-o as a lot of regular season beasts. Remember when Seattle set some sort of AL record for wins and then got punished in the divisional series? Hell the Angels got bounced in the ALDS this year and they were a much better team than the Cubs that was better built for the playoffs.

How do the Dodgers even figure in? If anything they severely overachieved this season. They had no business even making the playoffs, let alone winning a series. They were beat by a much better team, that, to me, does not qualify as choking.

The Jets, eh, we'll see but I don't think they have underachieved even if they should lose to Miami tomorrow. They are about where they should be.

Wilt the Stilit, good unbiased analysis and I concur with your reading of the teams you mention. Keep in mind, though, this thread was not started as a serious discussion. It is more a troll's lame attempt at busting balls. Perhaps it would qualify as "the biggest failure, flop, disgrace, and assinine" thread this year....... :?: :?:  :P

JETS need a little help from above fellas! Let's stand firm!

As Brother Wilt the Stilt's post shows, sometimes thread hijacking can be a good thing.
