Well, I started reading and have since decided to blow off work today to keep reading. Just like being in the belly of the beast. Gotta go to continue reading, or I might have to take off work tomorrow also.

Hi Everyone,
I've been coming to Costa Rica for about ten years and have been a long-time member of CRT's. I run a medical practice to pay the bills but have been a full-time novelist for decades - Princes in Exile; Pebble Beach; Starcrosed. The Girls at the Hotel Grand is a work of fiction inspired by the unique scene in Costa Rica. Part of my motivation is to show prostitutes as real people and not victims or girls with hearts of gold, as they are usually portrayed. The general public has a dim view of the kind of people working girls are, the kind of people their clients are, and their interesting and often complicated relationships. I also hope the book entertains those who know and love CR. I'll try to respond to any questions or comments on this thread, or you can PM or e-mail me.
Thanks for reading.
Mark Schreiber

I read this last night, all in one sitting. Very good story. Every character, its like I either knew them or had seen them. Excellent.

Not typically something I would read but I must admit that I enjoyed reading it. Most likely due to the fact the subject matter is near and dear to my heart. Any chance of a sequel?
