Saturday is the biggest festival of the year. For those who live outside the city,I suggest you check the times and road closings if you have plans to go to the parade or just into SJ. Getting out of the city before midnight could be a nightmare. (especially if you live in the Sabana,Rohrmeser,Escazu or Santa Ana area)

Is that the one that goes from La Sabana up Paseo Colon over to A2 and then up toward the Naional Museum?

Is the Festival walking distance from the SL? If so would it be safe to walk there?

DiegoC, yes. BT, I wouldn't do it. I'm sure some would. It would be a pretty long hike and the crowd would be pretty prohibitive. Just my opinion.

We always waited for the parade to get down near the gulch and watched it from Av.2 right behind the Pres. They were predicting cool and rainy weather but maybe it won't rain.

Does this mean that traffic all over town will be at a standstill all evening. I mean---Will I be able to get from say SL or BM to Pantera Rosa or Grillion or is it better to just find one spot and park myself there for the evening? Thx.
