Corcovado,

I've gotta agree with some of the other posters here. You need to lighten up a little. Maybe try to get a little more fiber in your diet.

If you've got a hard-on for information on the Leopardo room at the SL, you can always call them directly and ask. Since the inception of this board, there's always been a lot of back-and-forth friendly (and not so friendly) banter, and there always will be. If this bothers you, you might want to join a different site, with more helpful and meaningful information. If nothing else, try www.oprah.com ! :o

Pura Vida Corcovado....... PURA VIDA :!:

Gents,

Just back from a little business trip and was surprised to see so many postings to my inquiry. Thanks for the intel, it really helps to hear some firsthand perspectives and makes me look forward that much more to my upcoming trip.

I personally find the friendly jousting amongst CRT brothers to be perfectly in keeping with the spirit of the board as long as it stays friendly!

Thanks again for providing your insights. This will be my first trip staying at SL (3rd to SJ) and looking forward to calling it home for a few days next month.

thanks to MuchoGusto, Spanky, PacoLoco, CaioCaio, and Western for helping make my point ... 10 useless responses to a request "for info?". Counting my 2 that's 12 out of 17 postings, so far.

So your two posts bitching add up to one valuable post?

Calling me and Paco trolls is rather pointless as we are rather aware of what we do on the board. You will also notice that we tend to answer a fair number of questions as well. Let me know when you contribute something.

Finally, you are bitching at Western who had his question answered by Caio and then pissing in the pool of Mucho Gusto who asked you to lighten up. You notice that most of the replies in this thread were to you to chill out, not me and Paco calling each other flaming homos. So if anyone screwed this thread up, it would be you.

So cheers! You just hijacked your first topic.

I've been staying in the Leopardo suite for the past few days and really like it. I'll take some photos after housekeeping makes up the room if you want to see more than what's on the SL website.

Yes, there is a door that leads outside, but down a few steps it's gated and locked and the room key doesn't open it - and there's an alarm on it and didn't want to mess around trying to get it open.

The bed is really nice and firm. There is a 37 inch LCD with a DVD player in the bedroom. But there's not a stereo to hook up your iPod like the other suites.

I was surprised at the water pressure in the shower - better than home and far better than most places I've stayed in outside of the States.

The kitchen/dining room area is nice to set up the laptop and there is a coffee maker that also does espresso with a steam wand and stainless steel pitcher to froth milk, but no tamper - so bring some finely ground coffee if that's your thing.

I am glad I spent the extra money on a suite in the new mansion wing and would not stay anywhere else.

If you have any specific questions I'll try to answer them.

Almost forgot - the lights have dimmer switches and really help to set the mood.

the wifi is really hit or miss in this room.

to set the code on the safe, there is a red button on the inside on the door, press it then enter a code and then hit the letter A and it's all set - took me awhile to figure it out and I hope this saves someone the trouble.

Ciaociao - I leave Wed morning and I'm sure housekeeping will have the blood stains removed from the comforter by then - enjoy!

TJ

I'm familiar with the safes, having screwed them up and asking for help multiple times.

I was afraid the wi-fi might not be that strong. I'll ask Carlos to look into positioning another router.

And blood stains weren't really what I was concerned about, but I do appreciate your courtesy.

Welcome to the board Corcovado. This is supposed to be fun as well as informative.

Mucho Gusto is a very wise man and carefully advised: “lighten up . . . a little more fiber in your diet.” Good tip. Fiber! Diet! More poop in the toilet and less on your fellow mongers.

Wdeville, I checked out a couple of the rooms in the new wing. Don’t have a clue about the names because I don't really care about the names. But the rooms I saw were modernized yet retain the historic trappings, elegance and grandeur of the old mansion era. They are well appointed and nicely kept.
