depends on which room you want. if you like the penthouses it might already be too late.

A quick stop at Mas x Menos or one of many other spots and the mini fridge in EVERY room does the trick quite well until the bar officially opens.

Chances are it was luis who watches the desk when the clerk is in the restroom. Everyone of the clerks in reseption speaks english. If you are crt we automatically apply the discount. you do not need to ask for it at time of reservation.

There are three penthouse rooms, 310, 311 and 312, and all are different.

310 is huge, has a loft-style bed (not really a room as it isn't enclosed) and a gigantic sectional couch. LaDiablo mentioned what 311 has, and 312 has the jacuzzi and sauna, and it's also up another set of (spiral) stairs.

If memory serves, there's a pulperia across the tracks on the right hand side. Not smackin' but that does require a little forethought...Or of course as mentioned Mas x Menos or any other local store.

if you mean in the amistad, it is 310,11 and 12 that are the real large penthouse type rooms.

Arrived in town tonight for 4 nights. Staying in a queen bed room, $10 cheaper than the king rooms. Checking in has become a breeze, because there isn't any actual check in. Guy at desk knew my name, gave me my key, and off I went up the stairs! :D
