Theyve dicked me around on two occasions, and had some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Unless they are some significant amount cheaper then anyone else I wouldnt even consider flying with them.

No, they have done away with free upgrades unless you pay full fares. If you buy at a discount from them or any of the travel websites, you are NOT eligible for a discount. If you are checking-in online, the system will offer you an option for biz automatically for those who qualify. I'm a GOLD member and can't get an upgrade anymore as of May. It sucks, but the flight is only 5 hours.

I have flown this flight 5-6 times now. IMHO, it is the best option out of LAX. You get in to SJO about 9:00AM, and the return flight ileaves at 7:15 PM. It basically gives you about two extra days in CR. Only 5.5 hours going, and 6 hours or so returning. I will be on this flight for my January trip to CR.

Their customer service, over the phone, does leave much to be desired. Seating assignments do not mean anything to them, no matter if you have done the computer check-in and gotten a seat assigment. Once on the plane the attendants has always been very good, and cordial.

My first trip to CR was with AA through Dallas, that was a nightmare.

Two days to MDE, and I try Copa for the first time.
