I was just discussing the state of affairs in Cr with a friend, or rather we were both admitting our lack of knowledge concerning recent activities. I'm an old timer :D with a whopping 2 trips under my belt and the 3rd and 4th coming up soon. Okay so I'm a Newbie compared to most everyone else here.

My wingman and I were just talking Ticas and it seems though we pop in now and then we both seem to only post or seriously read when a trip is eminent.
I think for me at least I stop checking the site out when not planning a trip because of mental blue balls since I can't be there.

I returned home playing less and less locally not only because of the difference in cost but the gringa mentality just seems twisted compared to their tica counterparts even though I understand they both have the same goal of separating me from my money. Weird huh!

I'm still soaking up all the board has to offer and have CRT and a few real old timers (in # of trips) for making the trips I had seriously great fun.

I'm recently been re amazed at within all the good humor and sometimes ranting this place is like an insurance policy, all we have to do is read the fine print to assure a swift and accurate payoff. :P

I'm reasonably sure of having a great time, Plan on not repeating a few small mistakes last time and meeting a few people I didn't get to meet before. I'm hoping to stay in the new Mansion Wing.

I guess the only question I have is do you all only read and write around trip time or do you live there and thanks for all the info.

Since I am not there, I am here.

When I am there, I am here much less often.

Wish I was there....

(Four more days.)

Plus I'm of the "each one teach one" school of thought so if I find newsy bits of interest, I post them--my giveback for all I've learned from others I can never hope to pay back personally. Not to mention venting my opinions.

I also used to support the "each one, teach one" philosophy, however....

It seems to me that the attitudes of a few members on this board have severely limited the posting of some of the biggest contributors. Reports that highlight the fact that much more than the standard $60-$100 per hour vanilla session is available are greeted with disbelief and derision. Many of us have simply decided to keep our discoveries to ourselves.

Don't get me wrong. I like the board and the camaraderie but the reports highlight the ordinary. Excellent information, invaluable to the newbie. However, much more is available in every conceivable dimension.

I normally read the forum at least twice a day and post some comments here and there. Like others is a way to paid back what I have taken as well as a way to stay current and closer to the action thru others. I’m currently in CR but I still check the board for news.

I also agree that since the CRT State of the Union we have been a more civilized supported board. There is a troll here and there but they have been removed from the membership.

I do get jonesing once in a while from reading the board but there is only one way to fix that. Get your ass here to the land of milk and honey.

Pacifica55--Yes, I've seen the disbelief and derision expressed. If only there were a narrow-cast PM available, so you could talk to those who'd listen. A whole bunch of individual PM's takes too much time and energy and a post gets you scorned. Too bad there's seemingly no middle ground available--if it ever happens though, sign me up, OK?

So what!?! Ignore the negative twits.

As an old timer in online groups, boards and forums I always try to keep in mind what a very old timer taught me way into last century...It's just a cartoon.

I'm still very respectful of this place, I'm also on several other boards and they are all but useless. This place people say what the think and do as they say. People help each other out and share the hot tica they just met. I'm sorry some of this has went underground or back channel, I hope to see the activities pick up and the chatter as well.

I will say the trolls you speak of here are but a minor annoyance compared to my main local board. You old timers who broke the trail are well thought of by most all, and have saved many a newbie ass and a lot of worry by your sharing of info.

I'm not a drinker or hard party guy, just a laid back guy, see a few gals and hang around with my stogies. But I must say after the girls my next favorite thing is hanging out and hearing all the war stories.

I find I post in flurries particularly just before a trip and just after a trip. But even that has curtailed somewhat. I guess it's because I've been there about 40+ times. And after almost 2000 posts, I just don't know what else to say. I'm definately not your typical monger and not part of any "cliques" so I post much less.

This is by far, far and away the best place for anything CR nightlife. I wouldn't worry too much about "less chatter." I think it has as much to do with the shitty economy as it is with guys going underground. I for one have taken 1/2 the trips as usual this year. But, I see the light at the end of the tunnel and will likely even enjoy future trips that much more.

Most of the old timers are happy to give info out to those who seek it in a respectful manner. I have noticed that some of the guys who used to dominate every thread have backed off a bit. That's a good thing.

As for war stories, those do, at times receive scorn or naysayers. Sometimes it's just fun to sit back and watch. Particularly those with giant egos. We all live in our own reality.

I delete more of my posts, before submitting them, than I actually submit. After re-reading what I have written I often find that my initial writing contained way too much ego gratification, and little worth to the board.

For the most part, my posts do not generate responses. This is fine with me. I do not write to see how many agree, or disagree with me. If someone writes something that I perceive as negative about one of my posts, I generally look into myself to see which part of the response was true, and that my ego did not like.

I will say that I have met many men on CRT that I would consider friends of mine. I do not use the word friend very often.

If you have not met Smelvis, introduce yourself to him. From the few times we spoke he was very low-keyed, but when he says something it is worth hearing. He will be sitting in the courtyard, smoking a stogie with a young lovely, or more, around him. He is a good man that I look forward to spending time with in the near future.

Health & happiness to all...

Steve - Santas Bro

I usually post/read at work  Whatever makes the day go by right?

I have curtailed my graphic descriptions of the sessions I've had over the years. My recent trip report basically didn't have too much mention of acts, time, money etc..

At a certain point people don't want to hear about guys getting freebies, or rediculous PSE sex etc..
I have just about refrained from any of that type of talk only having a comment to share here and there.

Nothing is worse then sounding like that guy in the group that's full of shit. :| So even at times when you have something to say that's completely true but hard to believe, I just keep to myself.

I see it like this; I only lie to women. So those closest to me down there along with some good guys I met my last trip, get the gory specifics of some sessions. Besides, those stories are so much better in person.

I've always notice those who are appraching a trip usually post more in the upcoming weeks. That makes total sense of course, always good to know how the DR is looking etc..

The ultimate trick there is for it not to matter if the DR is slow, or if it's a buyers/seller market etc.. Regardless of the situation don't let it change your outcome. Make that everyone else's problem  8)

And lastly, my continuous harping to learn the language would/will never stop. It's something I believe strongly in, for the betterment of the "brotherhood".

I don't ask you to learn so you can order a steak and potato off the menue or so you can stop and ask directions. It's soley for the interaction with the ladies.

I know some guys get some pretty shitty (expenssive) sessions on this board as well as guys who do quite well. As I've said before, don't under estimate the currency of attraction. Most of us do the best we can to stay in shape and look decent but after that the only thing that will seperate us is our personalities.

Can you make her laugh? Or..can you just ask her if she does anal  So many great personalities and game on this board I'm sure, but it's locked away because it can't be put into words :(
Having the gift of gab and power of persuasion goes such a long way, you wouldn't believe it if I told ya

P.S. Kinda ran a little long there, but I guess I had some things to get off my chest

Thanks for all the replies, I guess it is only normal to read more prior to a trip. Also the shared info regarding Ticas were shared in person or email, which also seems pretty normal.

Steve
Back at you dude, I still remember my first trip just happened to be during your birthday party. You were surrounded by all your buds male and female alike . My wing man and good friend Joe who is also quite laid back were as you say sitting in the lounge area smoking stogies and taking it all in. You took the time too bring us both a slice of your cake and made us both fell instantly welcome. Only a good guy down plays his own qualities for others benefit. You the Man Dude!

Speaking of laid back sometimes it looks like I may be uninterested or maybe shy, But truthfully I just Love to watch and soak in everything. I don't feel the need to be constantly on the move. I also love to chat the fellas and chicas up. I met some good guy's on my first and every trip so far. As a whole CRT ers are a good bunch of fellas, sometime total strangers that have your back. Truly a a unique quality for a pooner board.

I also love to walk around the Gulch and take in the sites, That's why I was a bit concerned when I heard some old timers saying even daytime walking was not a good idea now.

We did meet one dick, the dude was very nice in an arrogant way, wore enough gold to sink the Titanic and we politely tried to tell him it wasn't a good idea and was gruffly rebuffed. He also bought a box of fake Cubans and when he found out they were fake, I believe he intentionally tried to off them to us, We again politely refused. Then he tried to get ahead of a planned ride to the dinner with a couple Chacas my wing man I had planned. By stealing our transport one of th SL drivers. We just let him and laid bets on the odds of him getting burned. He was the only dick we met.

Later
