I agree with other posters. The ones I've been to in the states the talent was mediocre at best..lol I did'nt see one in the "Gulch" but I think the same saying applies here. "Think outside the Gulch"

Bobshere, I think this is the first time I saw anyone spamming for Hooters..LOL

The first Hooter’s I ever went to was in Newport Beach, CA.

We (my wife and then four year old daughter) had been out on a harbor cruise with a lawyer friend and some colleagues from work. We wanted a bite to eat and a couple of drinks and this place (Hooter’s) had a dock so we tied up.

Not really knowing what Hooter's was, we sat down. I don't like talking to or dealing with gringas but I love to look. Soon drool began to appear at the corners of my mouth. Some hottie in the classic orange shorts and skin tight white top bounced over to the table, bent over and practically shoved her Double-D rack in my face.

Without missing a beat, my cien porciento Hispanic wife leaned over and whispered in my ear something like, “Remember Lorena Bobbitt is a saint to all Latinas.”

There's another thread here ripping CR Hooters, so obviously people have had mixed results. But I've been to the Plaza Izkatzu Hooters probably half a dozen times, and I've had great experiences each time. The wings are nice and fat, and I've found the service to be outstanding. YMMV.

I know some may wonder why one would bother with an American chain restaurant while in a foreign country. Good question. For me, I usually find myself at a KFC, Hooters, or an "American-like" sports bar at least once during a trip away from home longer than a few days or so. I'm an American, and I like American stuff. Sometimes a reminder of home isn't a bad thing. Also, I happen to really like Hooters. The wings may not be the "best," but they are, IMO, consistently "great," and you always know what to expect. Good beer from CLEAN taps and hotties running around in skimpie clothes is a nice bonus as well, and not a bad way to get worked up for a later encounter with a working girl.

The Escazu Hooters gets two thumbs up from me.

I have never been to Hooters and wanted to go but a well known member of your board who has never been there and will not go there says Sportsman lodge has better scenery and he does not eat at American based restaurants in foreign countries . My question is : Is the scenery better at Sportsmens than Hooters and how can you say so If you have only been to Sportsmens and not to Hooters. How can one give an honest opinion to compare if they have not been to both. Just an honest question that needs an honest answer.

i really dont know why anyone would goto an american restaurant when theres so many other options in costa rica. Hooters isnt any different than the ones we have in Miami. Bunch of big boobed latinas serving food. I guess if you want to pretend briefly your not in another country, its fine i guess

Gee Harlo thought this was about restaurant review and food not scenery. IMHO food is better at SL and for scenery I go to Pantera Rosa.

Harlo I've been to both. SL has is better in both categories: Food and scenery.

Instead of using the word scenery, think of it as ambience. By that I mean atmosphere, the feeling or mood you get by being in the place.

SL is relaxed yet upbeat; comfortable yet it retains a degree of rustic elegance; good Tico and Gringo food at a reasonable price; plenty of booze to drown your sorrows or build your spirits; always a sporting event on the TV; always an attractive woman who awaits your call so she can fulfill all of your fantasies. They don’t have that at Hooter’s. It ain't even close!

What he said, Hooters and US stripclubs peddle pseudo-sex with no possibility of fulfillment. Then what, going home and wacking your weasel?? Who needs it? I'll take the real thing, thank you very much.

ok , The last time I went for jury duty the lawyer asked me " If you were the only person who felt one way and eleven others felt different what would you think ? " I told him If eleven others felt one way and I felt another then I must be wrong and they must be right. It is true if eleven others feel one way then I am wrong . You win the argument . Have a great day . I still want to go to Hooters and decide on my on and I wish that guys that have never been to Hooters and do not want to go should save their opinion until they do. How can you give an opinion when you yourself have never been to Hooters ? That is all I am asking. How can you knock a place by here say. Am I off the wall or do I bring a valid question. Like I said I am asking an honest question and need an honest answer. If you have not been to Hooters in CR then how can you say one way or the other? Go their first and then give your opinion. Do not speculate by what you think or what you have heard or read. It makes no sense to do so.

Last summer I went to the Hooters in Escazu while I staying at the Marriott Courtyard. I enjoyed it. In fact, I like it better than stateside Hooters, as the Escazu Hooters had Ticas working there. I went back a couple of times. The employees were friendly and the food was good. The wings were much better than those of the SL, but at SL, I am able to Phuck the hot chick at the next table.
Ciaociao

Nice try Harlo, you are not even old enough for jury duty so how can you give an opinion on jury duty when you yourself have never been to jury duty? That is all I am asking.
