Is it still open? Has the food quality changed over the past year? Really liked the food there and price wasn't bad either. Don't pay any attention to ticker, I can't figure out how to get it worked out.

Camchada I went by there about a month ago; didn't go in but I did note it was open for business e.g., people going in and out, licking their chops and carrying doggy bags, that kind of stuff.

Hey, and don't forget they have a country band there, at least on weekends.

Ditto.

I know there have been a few incidents where some CRT members got sick and were pretty sure it was from eating at JR's. But I guess I've been lucky, as I've never had a bad meal there. Naturally, YMMV.

Yeah, the cole slaw was... weird.

I like JR's, the ribs are typically very meaty. I just don't like their sauce much. It's hard to find both good meat and sauce in the same place at Costa Rica. Either the sauce is good, and the ribs are pathetic, or the ribs are great and the sauce sucks.

Well, ok, so the sauce doesn't suck.. i just like my sauce more rich and tangy.

I just took a quickie trip to the States – up and back within 48 hours so I only had two dinners there. When my hosts asked me where I wanted to go for dinner it was barbeque! One was a Memphis style place and the other was Kansas City style. Yum.

It revved up my barbeque taste buds and now that I am back, it is disappointment time. You are right about a good barbeque place in CR. There aren’t many and JRs is probably the best of any down here. No place like Memphis or KC for barbeque.

If you mean Soda Tapia on the east side fo Sabana Park it's ok. Best part is it is 24/7/365. Great steak sandwich at 2:00am 8^)
